There do seem to have been a lot of SGRs this year in comparison to previous threads. I wonder why that is-- do you think they’re trying to buy themselves more time? Also, do spring grade requests tend to come in mass during April then taper off in May, or will they keep coming at the same rate in conjunction with acceptances?
@isabellll congratulations! would you mind sharing your stats? I’m a psych major too!
@csumit I think he means SGRs are almost inevitable for freshmen applying as sophomores, not “better” for them.
Package received Wed, April 25. Letter dated April 21 (odd right?). Stats and further deatils will be posted on the STATS and DECISIONS page this weekend when I have more time to create a neater post. Feel free to pm/tag me in posts if you have quick questions! I’ll be happy to respond and provide support.
Shoutout to @zettasyntax for assisting me through this long journey and providing moral support along the way
@Boson12 Congrats! Major/TTP/GPA/Units/Location?
Confused as to how all of these one-time posters are getting decisions. :-/
Does anyone know when portals update…? I live like 20 hours away from USC :’(
@csumit Major: Biochemistry NonTTP, GPA: 3.7 Units: 26 Location: Los Angeles (1 hr away from USC)
@aznboi4981 I’ve never posted, only lurked
I felt like posting would just make me more anxiety
@Boson12 wait so you’re an incoming sophomore right?
Hey all future accepted posters, if you would please at a minimum post:
Major and/or School (Dornsife/Viterbi, etc)
TTP yes or no
Location
That would be fantastic. Thanks and congrats to all in advance!
@Elena1355 Yes, I am an incoming sphomore. The portal also doesn’t update first I think. I have nothing on mine. The package should be the first thing to notify you if you’re 1hr away from USC.
HOLY CRAP! Just checked USPS ID randomly, package coming from USC! In transit as of 12 AM. I live in GA btw.
@Boson12 Did you use informed delivery at all or is the package in your mailbox literally the first way you knew?
marshall decisions wya though :((
@csumit I did use informed delivery. However when the package was scanned, it looked like something else, so I disregarded it. I’d say the first way I knew was through the mailbox and not the informed delivery.
@Boson12 Sorry to keep bothering you, but what do you mean by something else? Everyone on here says ID says its coming from USC
@csumit Oh, I don’t think I ever checked the ID. It emails me a photo of what the package looks like, and since it didn’t clearly show the letters “USC” on the top, I thought it was something else like maybe an amazon package. I only based my observation off a cursory glance at the photo in the email that the informed delivery service sends every morning.
So far a few southern states (MD, VA, and GA) and CA’ers all have received decisions thus far. No Northeasterners or Midwesterners!
@Boson12 USPS does not take pictures of mail larger than a standard, legal sized envelope.
@Boson12 Your ID shows you images of packages?
