hey guys! my financial aid summary actually came in 1 day after i got my package. it showed up on fast around 10am est and here i thought i would have to wait two weeks for it lol, but i got an amazing fa package :3!!

Got my SGR today. Freshman at an LA CC. Marshall is my first choice. 3.71 GPA with 1 pre-req in progress (calc lol). 20 credits completed thus far and 13 in progress.
I’m a TTP and no acceptance yet???
I literally can’t wait anymore lol
When did you submit your application? does anyone know if that effects when you hear back?
@smh2599 it shouldn’t have a factor when applicants hear back, mainly because they don’t start looking transfer applications until they finish the freshmen ones (aka April).
Does anyone know around when we hear about the transfer merit scholarship? Or is that included in our financial aid summary when we get them individually?
It would be in the financial aid summary. They give 40 of them for 1/4 tuition, there is a chance it could get added later I suppose but not sure. Likely depends when you get you FA and where they are in the process which only they know. But if your FA says complete then it is done. You can always call FA and ask to be sure.
@sunnydramatic @CADREAMIN I just looked on last year’s forum, and around May 30th, they were saying that the FA office said all merit scholarships were sent out the Friday before… Do they come out separately than your need-based FA package?
They may or may not. See above. Depends on when you get your acceptance and FA. If your FA says complete or you get email saying it is then it is done. You can always call to be sure. I never take what someone else heard when they called as the gospel, call yourself to have no doubts.
if you didn’t apply for financial aid, will you still be considered for a merit scholarship?
Ahh still nothing! Got accepted to UCB and UCLA though, hopeful SC will pull through…probably going to accept Berkeley though
@anna717 @aznboi4981 i’ve been lurking for a while without posting anything, but I just wanted to reach out and let you guys know that I am in the same boat–junior Marshall applicant from a state university and haven’t seen even the slightest activity on my portal. Hopefully knowing you aren’t alone can give you guys some comfort :)>-

Any other Price applicants get a SGR? I have not gotten one yet and although I have gotten two straight semesters off all A’s, my first semester was average. hopefully it doesn’t mean rejection.
