have any cinematic arts applicants heard back??
@collegestas I am a rejected freshman applicant, but I had her. I am planning on resuming correspondence with her after the appeal hearback date in May to help coordinate my transfer efforts.
@Tuttwirl On the topic of transfer prompts, the SCA has the emotional moment essay. Would it be appropriate to put getting rejected as a freshman down for that?
Also, in the event that I get rejected from Interactive Media (my first choice), my backup is Computer Science (Games). Is it a good idea to take courses relevant to your backup major in the event you are rejected from your first choice?
@StipendAwarded I’d imagine the whole rejection story is pretty common in the eyes of an admissions officer, although I know it is unique from your perspective.
@aznboi4981 You will definitely hear back from the informed delivery first if that service doesn’t fail to function haha. The portal is purposely designed to update AFTER you receive your mail.
You will not be considered in engineering as a second choice major - that is a throw away. Engineering majors have to have engineering as their first choice. Period.
@Boson12 That’s what I thought, but on Friday, a group of people found out via the portal first!
If my permanent address is in Asia, will my portal update before I receive a package?
@aznboi4981 Hmm… Not too sure then. Perhaps they were a bit farther from USC and the package took longer took arrive. For me, the package came first and 24~36 hours later, my portal was updated.
is there a wave expected on may 1st? or is the end of may 1st when the wave happens

Anyone from the School of Cinematic Arts hear back yet? I haven’t and I haven’t seen anyone else (at lest here) post about it.
@fluffybunny14 Did they request that you submit them? If not, I don’t think there’s an option to. You’ll most likely have to send an updated transcript.

@dwightsbeetfarm that’s cool you have a great chance! Oh and each semester did you go full time? 12 units or more? I’m worried cause my first semester I took only 2 classes and my second semester I only took 3 classes and then this year I went full time. But I feel like they’ll judge me that I didn’t go full time to begin with 
@csumit Indeed it did! I got accepted on friday through the portal and it showed up on ID later that day. I got the package just today. I live in norcal so that probably had something to do with the delivery time.
