@Rc0926 yeah, I’m currently a sophomore. What about you? I have a little less than 60 units, so I’m not really sure if that’s an issue for junior transfer
Did anyone else that got accepted have a condition in their acceptance letter like “You are admitted on the condition you earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher in the Spring courses listed your application, with no individual grade lower than C. You will be permitted to register for classes only after we receive an official transcript that verifies you’ve met those conditions. You should provide this transcript before coming to orientation.”
I’m actually a little freaked out about this… does it mean if I get a 3.4 or something, my admission will be taken away?!
I know I won’t drop below a 3.5 but I’m just scared…
Dude same!! I transferred from a private college to a cc so my credits are all over the place but as of right now my college considers me a sophomore

Let me know if anyone is interested in further information that I may have left out!
You can contact me on my IG if you would like: @Matt_Bagdasar
@anna717 I’m also a Marshall applicant. Hopefully we hear back ASAP. Lol
@dahman112 yes hopefully soon. Though I am going to try and stop obsessing over it. My mom says the more I think about it the longer it will take
Did anyone else coming from a 4 year quarter system college (i currently am a sophomore at Cal Poly SLO) receive a request for winter grades too a month or so ago? I talked to my counselor on the phone too and she said to send in a list of my classes i’m taking this quarter too.
Has anyone applying to Dornsife not received mail or a portal update or SGR yet?
@chemloverr Hi, currently CCC sopho, applied to Dornsife Econ, didn’t receive mail; no portal update, and no SGR. HAHAHA
@helloapple Ayyy I am also a CCC sopho. Are you in the Bay Area?
@missice on my acceptance letter it says “Conditions of admission:
Please remember that your admission is contingent upon verification of official
academic records, satisfactory completion of course work, and avoidance of
academic and behavioral misconduct.” If I were you, I would try not to drop below a 3.5 and just try my best!
fight on!
What If i have some underlying reasons to drop a class with a W? would i have to tell the school now, or in the scenario I get accepted, at that moment? if someone can honestly let me know because i know the last thing i should do is call and ask lol
So I am an international junior-transfer applicant for Marshall and I go to De Anza (CCC in the bay area). I will be deciding between UNC Chapel Hill (accepted), NYU (still pending), and USC (pending as well). So I called my admission counselor for my school and he said he hasn’t even reviewed my file… I wonder if that’s true… Can anyone reply to my comment if someone from the Bay Area heard back from USC for the business major?
@californian0328 I am also a Marshall applicant from de anza and haven’t received any update…interesting that he said he hasn’t read yours…I believe our counselor is Bryan green…hope he gets to us soon if he hasn’t lol
@dahman112 lol posting from the library imac… yeah it was him and he was like: im busy reviewing other files and no i havent read yours… bye…
wow…wonder if I should call or if that will make him mad…
@dahman112 i wouldnt… i just called because i want to figure out housing situation ASAP! or for me, so i can just move on to unc chapel hill if i got rejected
@jgaldamez This happened to me! I was in and out of the ER for some heart-related health issues. I really neglected one class and was in danger of failing, so I just dropped the class and took a W. I never mentioned this to USC. I wasn’t rescinded or anything. People often say that once a school has admitted you, it really takes a lot for them to rescind your admission. You’d probably have to fail all of your classes or something for them to really re-consider. If you still wanted to call, I would do so after you’ve gotten your decision - no need to give them a reason to want to reject you. Even so, I don’t really think you have to contact them for this particular issue.
@californian0328 That’s totally possible. When I applied, my counselor emailed me on May 1st saying that he need more materials from me (my GED). This alone tells me that he barely started to review my file/application if he was asking for something so late in the game. It’s quite possible that your counselors might not have even gotten around to some of you yet.
If the files are in alphabetical order, I won’t hear until June. LOL
