2018 - 2019 USC Transfer

Wait, did any Junior Transfers get the 3.5 requirement for spring? because if not, that might make me feel better

@Rc0926 well best of luck to you! Let me know if you get a decision

Have any rejections been sent out yet? :-SS

Any AZ transfers get accepted? Also, do hw admissions get back to you ASAP when you send in your spring grades? Or do they wait till July? Hoping that I know my decision by June 1st. And also do you know anyone with a 3.9-4.0 gpa that have been rejected? Don’t want to get my hopes up too much!

Hey, I just received Michigan’s too! Still waiting for USC, a similar boat with you! @MBlue98

@Tuttwirl I haven’t heard anything yet :confused:

close friend just got a rejection from Marshall!
not gonna lie I am insanely surprised as now I have huge doubt for myself

@SmartJarhead Congrats! What community college do you attend?

@angeleno13 do you by chance know their stats? This terrifies me, I didn’t know they were already rejecting people

@angeleno13 Oh no. :-S Where is your friend from? His stats? How did he find out?

@angeleno13 Was the rejection via portal or email? And i am sorry to hear that!

@USCPLEASE93 same! will be so disappointed if I get an SGR

For SCA applicants: any SGR? They’ve been pretty silent besides a few financial aid reminders for me

@missice This conditional offer with a specified GPA seems to be relatively new this year. I don’t ever remember there being a specific GPA requirement. When I was accepted, I had a more generic response. In all honesty, I don’t see anybody getting rescinded unless they get something like a 2.0 or below. In the UC threads, people often get similar conditions and even with C’s on their final transcripts, their universities didn’t rescind them. I imagine USC would be the same way. I really think you’ll be fine

@jgaldamez Most Viterbi people likely won’t hear until late May. It could be sooner, but for most, they will likely have to wait a pretty long time =\ If you need to drop the course, you should be fine. The only way I see it being a problem is if you have a history of dropping courses and getting W’s. Otherwise, I really would not stress over it. Sometimes things just happen and we have to drop courses.

@sugarcane1 After dropping the course, I was still enrolled in 15 units. I then enrolled in an 8 week econ course to bring myself back up to 18 units.

@zettasyntax Do you happen to know how easy it is to pick-up a second major as a transfer? I currently have 48 credits earned, 18 in progress, and 8 AP credits (Lang and Lit), which USC doesn’t accept.

SCA applicant here, no SGR or anything yet.

@chemloverr Hi, yes, I am from the south bay. Seems like no students from south bay have heard anything yet?

have there been any rejections yet or

Congrats, fellow CCer! @SmartJarhead

@jgaldamez I am a junior transfer and I got the 3.5 requirement… I’m planning on asking about dropping a class so I will let you know what the response is.
