@zettasyntax But what writes on my transcript?
@ernesto98 It might have some weight in the selection process! The person who wrote my letter of rec for freshman year was a USC alumni, and I’m pretty sure that’s the only reason I was offered the TTP! (I don’t have any actual confirmation on this though lol)
@lagurl13 I think last year the earliest decisions were March 28th
@Alpinyo On your USC transcript when you graduate? It lists your USC GPA and there’s a section that lists any transfer institutions and the GPA’s you earned there. They don’t combine them on your USC transcript as far as I know. It seems like your transfer GPA only matters when it comes to deciding honors and that’s it. It’s like it doesn’t exist otherwise.
Will USC send us an email when our decision is out or will the portal just get updated?
@Elena1355 Depending on where you live, you usually get the package in the mail before seeing it online. Not sure, but I think the portal just gets updated without an email.
@giakhanhngo123 thank you and yea hopefully it helps ive had her in elementary school and we always keep in close contact. Also what is TTP??
@ernesto98 TTP stands for Trojan Transfer Plan. As far as I know, it’s only offered to those who were rejected as a freshman (it would be stated in your rejection letter if you are being offered it) and you cannot request it otherwise. There’s one of two ways you can be offered TTP: you either have some sort of connection to USC (legacy status or your letters of rec were written by USC alumni) or they didn’t have enough space for you despite the fact that you are very well qualified.
Basically how TTP works is you meet with one of the counselors during the summer and they go over the general ed plan with you (what courses you need to take, expectations, etc.). After the meeting, you can keep in touch with your assigned counselor via email to update them on your progress and ask questions.
From what I’ve read, as long as you have stay within the GPA requirements, those with TTP are usually accepted (I have yet to read about a case where someone got rejected), but then again, nothing is ever guaranteed.
Like I previously mentioned, it’s only offered to those certain students who were rejected as freshmen, so unfortunately, as a transfer now, I don’t believe it would be offered again.
But nonetheless, having some sort of connection to USC gives you a little edge!
Did anybody else’s check Financial aid status change? For the past few weeks it just said process under review and now it’s gone?? Does this mean they already started reviewing our applications?
@Rc0926 Mine still says “Financial Aid Application in Review” , so I’m not sure. Maybe it’s a glitch?

@inception97 You look like you’re in a good spot, fyi, the HS stuff won’t be looked at if you have 52 units.
@ernesto98 It won’t hurt, but I’ve always read that when a letter of rec is optional, the college won’t put much value into it unless it revolves around some amazing extracurricular you take part in.
@CADREAMIN sounds good thanks!
I applied to USC Annenberg as a sophomore last year with 33 units complete at my CC. They sent me a SGR (got my hopes up) and I was ultimately rejected. (I took 6 classes. 5 A’s and 1 B).
I applied again this time as a junior with all lower division stuff done except for the two required at USC. Because of the rejection last year, I’m straddling the fence between anxiety and indifference. Lol. I so wanted to get accepted last year and when it didn’t happen, I took it hard. So this time I’m trying to keep my expectations in check. I applied to four UCs (still waiting) and two CSUs (accepted to both). So knowing I have somewhere to go right now as a worst case scenario is comforting. Lol
Good luck to everyone applying to Annenberg. I wonder if they’ve started reading transfer applications.
Been lurking on this page for a while but never posted
If someone could give me a better idea of where I stand that’d be great

@uscorbust1880 I applied to Chapman as a transfer and was recently accepted! Could you tell me why you want to transfer?
@uscorbust1880 @armadaswim I am a freshman at Chapman as well and am applying though TTP to hopefully transfer to USC as a sophomore. I want to transfer because Chapman is way too small… I want the “real” college experience and to be pushed harder academically.
I’d honestly have to disagree. Chapman might be relatively small in terms of enrollment, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get the “real” college experience. The greek life involvement levels are considerably higher than most schools, athletics are a blast, and the school itself is extremely affluent. Contrary to my radical username, I’d honestly be happy staying here for a couple more years it’s just that USC’s been my dream school for so long I’d hate myself if I didn’t give it one last shot. To anyone that gets into Chapman but not USC this year, you’re in a very very good position.
@armadaswim @danceon sorry i’m new to this i didn’t know you could @ people haha
