@prostrans55 Congrats! Did you not get any aid since you’re an international student?
When do the portals usually get updated? Like how many days after they send out the mail?
@Elena1355 Usually pretty much every school posts the decisions on the portals first, and then you receive the letter or packet in the mail a few days or a week later. But I guess USC is doing it a bit different this year.
@SmartJarhead USC always sends the mail first and then notifies applicants on the portal
Always sends mail first. Always. That’s their thing.
@CADREAMIN @Elena1355 Oh okay, I figured they’d do it like other schools. But that’s kinda cool makes it more exciting.
I go to IVC and no aid
@prostrans55 Cool! I’m not far from you. I go to OCC. Congrats on getting in
The wait is killing me
Does anyone know if they review applications based on when they were submitted? Will I have to wait longer since I turned in my app on the day of the deadline, or are the applications reviewed randomly?
@prostrans55 WOW congrats!!! That’s awesome man, be proud of yourself. When did you submit your app? Idk if submission date makes a difference re: decision date, but it would be interesting to see if there is a trend
@csumit Did it come in the mail?
@csumit Same question…Well?..Anxiously awaiting!
Thinking good thoughts thinking good thoughts thinking good thoughts…
Hope you are out happy dancing and too busy to post!
@KG5APR @CADREAMIN @SmartJarhead Nope :(. Oh well. Hopefully this week. I’m in the 1-day zone.
Does anyone else have the “Appeal of Admission Decision” tab under document library?
@prostrans55 did you write and send your appeal letter assuming that you got rejected? Congrats by the way!
@dreamschool211 I too have “Appeal of Admission Decision” under document library. After a quick google search, here’s what I found on a USC FAQ page:
Why is there an ‘Appeal of Admission Decision’ in my document library?
Updated 03/22/2018 10:16 PM
The presence of the Appeal of Admission Decision document in the document library is not an indication of an admission decision. It is simply there, as are the other items in the document library, to be used by anyone who needs it.
Official notification of your admission decision is mailed to you, and is also made available through the youSC portal under Admission Decision or Application Status. Instructions on how and when to submit an appeal are included with the decision letters of those who were denied admission.
So, nothing to worry about! Good luck to you! I anxiously await a decision as well.
@dreamschool211 i have that too! @prostrans55 congrats!!
