2018 - 2019 USC Transfer

tbh not all of us have 200-600 to throw away when our dream school is almost $80,000 hahaha

@thedailyjav Submittiing my appeal tonight before 12:00 here in VA. Should the letter have the usual “Dear sir…Sincerely”? If so, what should be the opener and closer? After that, I have to commit to the GMU Honors College for freshman year.

I paid my $500 deposit to Baylor last weekend.

Only 20% chance of getting into USC…

Those were the only 2 that I applied to.

I got into UNC Chapel Hill today and thats taken off the stress of waiting for the six more decisions. Only thing is UNC requires the deposit by May 15th and registration opens next Friday. Hope I hear back from USC soon. UNC and USC are tied for my top choice schools

@StipendAwarded I would open with Dear USC admissions team but I am not sure, I have not had to submit an appeal letter

@StipendAwarded You can always open it with “To Whom it May Concern” if you’re not sure

I committed to SDSU a while ago and paid the enrollment deposit and I filled out their housing application, then put down a deposit for that. I’m hoping and praying for usc, so if I get in I don’t mind losing out on that money. Because usc is my dream school but you have to hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

I feel like SDSU is the state version of USC, very spirited and the network is pretty tight. That being said, I hope you do get into USC @anna717 I don’t think I have ever been to a campus and liked it as much as I liked SC

@thedailyjav it was between SDSU and SLO for me but I decided SDSU because it was closer to home and the city(for internships). When I visited the campus I compared everything to USC. I’ve applied to so many schools and never felt good about it but USC just feels right.

@esskeetitbruh They don’t officially stagnate decision, but in general, TTP applicants hear back before non-TTP. In general, Viterbi and SCA take longer. If you receive a SGR (as most non-TTPs do), you’ll most likely be waiting until late may.

How about Marshall? How quickly do those decisions come out?

@Vincent1997 if you look through last year’s thread, Marshall applicants heard back late April/ early May

@anna717 Thank you  I usually try to research stuff on my own, but last years thread is like 9000 pages hahaha

I’m so nervous for USC… like… I haven’t heard a peep from them. It makes me think this is going to be a LONG wait… Like even an SGR would put me at ease since I’d know they’re somewhat interested in me. :-SS

Does anyone know how long Annenberg has taken to release decisions? Maybe I’m not looking deep enough, but I don’t really see too many responses from Annenberg majors in past threads.

@giakhanhngo123 me too…all i see is marshall and viterbi for the most part. im so anxious to know but i hope we find out soon because i will have junior standing next year so i really hope i dont get an SGR

@dwightsbeetfarm Is a SGR that bad a sign?

I just got my winter quarter grades. They improve my overall GPA so I want to upload them to my application to increase my chances of getting accepted. How can I do this?

@aznboi4981 a spring grade request (SGR) is not necessarily a bad thing–at least if you’ll be a sophomore. it would be inconvenient more than anything for juniors because when you get an SGR, they usually dont notify you of the final decision until late june/early july

Denied today. Did not see it on Informed Delivery.

Good luck to all of you.
