2018 Notification Guide

@vwlizard I think nowadays the fedex route is just the backup! Electronic messages are the way most schools are going primarily!

I don’t think I’m going to have school tomorrow based on how the storm is so fat

Did anyone receive an update from Exeter or Peddie regarding the notification time/details?

We have not heard from Exeter.
Peddie says will hear by email on M10.

I believe that both schools mentioned in their application confirmation messages that they would be sending emails and letters to applicants set to arrive around March 10th. I assume that they probably believe that it is sufficient and will send out emails on that day, but they may send out emails at a later date, but still before M10.

Here is what the confirmations say:

Exeter confirmation: “the admissions will release decisions on March 10th”
Peddie confirmation: “the next step will be receiving admissions decision on Sat M10. On this day, Xx will receive an email from Peddie.org

It does not say via email? via portal? via FedEx? or a specific time.

In the Exeter email, it continues on to say “If you have not received your admission decision email or letter by March 15…” therefore they will be contacting you about decisions via email and then followed by a letter of some sort. Yes, I do agree with you that they aren’t very specific about when the emails are set to arrive and when and how you should be receiving letters. You can review previous pages to see when the emails should arrive.

Two years ago I recall the email being very early, say by 6:30 am.

Gigs will be at 10 am not 12 noon

Oops, Govs

Wasn’t NMH on March 8 before?

Yes @snapchat I recall NMH being earlier in past years.

Woodberry Forest is going to be tonight at 12 AM M9!!!

I wish NMH was today

Darrow School mailing decisions tomorrow - not sure re email

To quote skimom’s broken record to skibro and me: “If wishes were horses, beggars would ride”

Calls or notifications prior to 3/10 are likely to be related to sticky wickets with FA or legacy wait lists so rejoice if you don’t receive a call today. No news is good news until 3/10 for many schools.
