In an attempt to fix the problems that were encountered last year, please be sure to read the ENTIRE post and follow the directions that were provided here EXACTLY.

FORMAT:
Username (as it appears below your avatar): ACCEPTED: (list all schools where you were accepted); WAITLISTED: (list all schools where you were waitlisted); REJECTED: (list all schools where you were rejected)
When updating with your results, COPY AND PASTE the most recent list and ADD your name IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER (to make it easier for people to scan and find the kids they are rooting especially hard for). Don’t stress if your update crosses paths with another poster’s….it’s bound to happen, especially during the “peak” hours of M10. In the past, several people have been known to clean up the list after/before normal business hours to maintain order. (It’s usually parents, but I predict an increase in the number of students this year as M10 is on a Saturday).
Schools should be referred to by one-word names (Ex: Andover, as opposed to Phillips Academy Andover), but if you need to clarify, make it short and sweet (Ex: St. Andrew’s, RI or St. Andrew’s, DE). You are permitted to shorten names (Ex. L’ville, as opposed to Lawrenceville).
So, what the list will start looking like is (using fictional screen names):
FIRST POST:
KidWithDreams: ACCEPTED: Westover, Thacher; WAITLISTED: Cate; REJECTED: Episcopal, Miss Porter’s
SECOND POST:
KidWithDreams: ACCEPTED: Westover, Thacher; WAITLISTED: Cate; REJECTED: Episcopal, Miss Porter’s
HADESplease: ACCEPTED: Choate, Deerfield, Tabor; WAITLISTED: Exeter; REJECTED: None
THIRD POST:
KidWithDreams: ACCEPTED: Westover, Thacher; WAITLISTED: Cate; REJECTED: Episcopal, Miss Porter’s
HADESplease: ACCEPTED: Choate, Deerfield, Tabor; WAITLISTED: Exeter; REJECTED: None
PrepLegacy: ACCEPTED: St. Andrew’s (DE), Exeter, Hill; WAITLISTED: Hotchkiss, Lawrenceville; REJECTED: Andover
…and so on

WHAT IF YOU ARE STILL WAITING FOR RESULTS FROM A SCHOOL?
This is entirely your own decision, you may want to share the news as soon as possible, or you could be more of the type of person to wait until everything has been received. I would STRONGLY SUGGEST that you wait until you have received all of your decisions, to prevent the possibility of forgetting and never updating the thread with your decision. However, if you would to prefer to share info as it comes in, please just put: “WAITING: School X,” AFTER the three “decision" categories (ex. …REJECTED: Peddie; WAITING ON: Thacher, Andover)…BUT REMEMBER to update the thread when the results come in.
