2018 UCF Acceptance/Scholarship Thread

Thanks. Phsc for the Fall (live at home) and if she proves herself with good grades, I will let her transfer to VCC for the Spring.

I got denied admission, but the advisor said if I turn in Valencia transcript with my graduation date then I can DirectConnect. It guarantees admission but maybe not for the term I requested.

i feel like asking for a final decision would hurt your chances :(. But what were your stats? @glimmergraham

Unweighted GPA:3.1
Weighted GPA:3.5
ACT/SAT scores: 22/1130

Course types: Honors and Dual Enrollment (earned AA)

Community Service Hours:75
Extra-curricular: Student Government Association, Interact, Tri-M Music Honor Society
@architectkid

Not to give false hope, but I wonder if some people will come off the waitlist the week of June 25th since that is the beginning of Summer B and when students who were accepted to summer term had to report? I actually believe they offer people spots up to two weeks before fall term- they don’t have to offer housing, so they can just let you in- works great if you can commute, but is impossible if you can’t.

@architectkid I agree, I do think it hurts to ask for final decisions at this point, they probably have more people than they need, so they will just say no.

They closed Fall admissions. I hope everyone who is attending UCF has a great semester!

I got accepted for Spring 2019. Im attending UNF then transfering.

Congratulations!

Does anyone know when Fall room assignments are being released?

They have started sending them out. Keep checking your portal.

I heard July 6th? Did anyone else hear that date?

My daughter got hers about two weeks ago- she is in Neptune.

yea I got mine two days ago I think its similar to the rolling admissions process

Hello! I am very late…but I wanted to post my daughter’s stats.

I am convinced that lack of AP credits (she had none) resulted in a lower scholarship award. But she was happy to receive the Silver!

Are you accepting admission? She did.

Applied just before Deadline to Burnett Honors College and was accepted into that program.

I wanted to know what my chances are of getting in
Unweighted GPA: 3.5
Core GPA: 4.1
Weighted: 4.7
All honors and AP classes
Mu Alpha Theta, president of Art club, College Readiness Club,
I graduate as a Licensed Practical Nurse (Technical School)
Service Hours: 100+
Class rank: Top 10 percent
SAT: 1150 (I know it’s low)
ACT: Haven’t taken it yet

I plan on applying before Halloween. I take the SAT again this weekend and the ACT in 2 weeks. I am going to write the essay and acquire recommendation letters. Due to my nursing program, I am not able to apply for summer term because I must continue nursing into the summer after graduation. I am going for the fall term.
Thoughts??

@brivier 100% Take a look at top 10 knights

Hi everyone, here are my stats I applied with

unweighted: 3.3
weighted: 4.2
AICE diploma candidate, AP (5 by the time I graduate), multiple Honors, and three Dual Enrollment credits
class rank is 16% or 84th percentile
National Honors Society and various other extracurriculars
SAT: 1170 (retook Oct. 6th)
ACT: Will be taking Oct. 27th

Do my odds look promising? My course load was very rigorous and I felt very confident on the SAT I took over the weekend.

My daughter received her acceptance letter in the mail but nothing about a scholarship. Nothing listed in the portal either. She received Provost Gold from ASU and we assumed the same would happen with UCF. How long after getting accepted did it take to find out if you received a scholarship?

@willowthetree hey i know this post was from awhile ago but did you ever get accepted?
