Alright I’ll wait til then. I live like 40 minutes from UCF so I’m pretty sure UCF is my only choice. I got Florida Bright Futures and a decent pell grant, I just need a 3k scholarship and I should be good. How you know it will be in 2 weeks? I heard mid March.
I guess they must of gotten to my son’s college transcript much quicker than his high school transcript as he got accepted today!

Does anyone know when the first wave of scholarships are awarded? I had heard November 15th, but our S didn’t receive anything yet? And, when they are awarded, do you receive information electronically or in paper form? Thanks.
Based on last year, it should start this week… first notice, I think comes on their online portal so keep checking that.
I’ve been checking all day. Nothing yet.
still nothing about scholarships… although I may not even qualify for one
Can someone please tell me how to check in myucf for awards? What do I look under? I get a message that says “no self-service access for this aid year” when I click on the links for financial aid/ award information/ etc.
@Mom2NND it will show up in MyUCF under the “To Do” list. You can find that on the right side of the screen, or you can access it from the “Holds and ToDos” menu under Student Self Service on the left.
@UCFin2018 Thank you!
@UCFin2018 yo what happened, its the 17th now and no scholarships?
I know, I was hoping they would put something out before Thanksgiving week!
@DarkFlameCorn, ikr?! I looked it up on CC yesterday. The last 2 yrs were 11/15 or 11/17. One before that was 11/30 though. Who’s brave enough to call?

I’m going there tomorrow for another open house. Maybe I can lean on someone. lol
My older daughter was notified two years ago in mid-November of her scholarship (which was a pleasant surprise - she was our first to go to college so we weren’t expecting it). My younger daughter was admittted to UCF for fall 2018 so now i’ve been watching for it. She went on her first tour of the campus Monday and I asked about when they would be disbursing scholarship money and the guy doing the presentation said January - February. I hope he was just picking a future date as a worst case scenario but that was the official answer (of at least that admissions guy)
@Trixiet wow, that’s nuts. I’m going today, but I might not be staying through the Financial Aid part. I hope dispersing isn’t the same as awarding. But it would be interesting if they’ve changed it. Not good, just interesting.
Thanks to those who are attending open houses soon. Sure hope we hear something soon.
