Congratulations to all you new tar heels! If I know anything about Carolina, those of you that go will spend the next four years falling in love with the place. :)

Rank: no ranking
ECs: plenty; pretty strong, 3 year varsity athlete (went to state twice for soccer)
Essays: Above average, not stunning
Recs: really good, teachers loved me.

Dissapointed but not too surprised; accepted my wait list status because I figured it couldn’t hurt. Kinda butthurt though as I thought this was a manageable reach.

Waitlisted OOS

ACT: 35

EC’s were fairly good but not outstanding, lots of music + art, some math + science, some volunteer work

Good recs
Currently also accepted to NYU, Rochester, Binghamton, WUSTL, and Cornell, waiting on UMich

Not extremely surprised, disappointed though. Will probably accept waitlist status, but not sure yet

Really happy for all you accepted students though, congrats! :)

Pretty good ECs+volunteer work
Think I had good essays, but I’ve had to write so many for all the different colleges that I really can’t remember.

Not gonna lie, I’m pretty disappointed, thought I had a good chance at getting in. Visited the campus a few moths back and loved it as well as the programs they offer. I guess the saving grace is I probably wouldn’t have been offered much financial aid anyway, and I got offered a full ride to my 2nd choice school, so I’m pretty much certain to go there now.

Congrats to everyone who got accepted. Wish you all the best there! :)

@mufc123 sorry to hear. Your stats look really great. Are you OOS?
