I never got a winter grade request email but it shows up in my portal as awaiting for winter grade request. What does this mean? any thoughts?

How much financial aid does USC generally offer to transfer students?
if my school is on a semester schedule rather than a quarter schedule, do you think that’s why we didn’t get a request? I sent my grades in after my 3rd semester with 52 credits.
@90smix I already did. I guess maybe they didn’t want them. Maybe you should wait just in case. Lol I thought a 4.0 from calpoly engineering would be enough to get in RIP
@collegegal15 Depends on your situation of course, but the financial aid calculator should give you a pretty good idea - it was spot on for me. It said my entire tuition would basically be covered, but that I would have to pay for room/board. I chose to commute instead, so I didn’t have to take out loans to cover living at USC. I did have to rely on loans to pay for USC’s student insurance though as I was without medical insurance. USC was very generous.
@DDHH2017 I have a friend from cal poly slo too who wants to transfer to usc as well, and she too hasn’t received a grade request. She’s freaking out and thinks that it’s because she’s already at a respectable engineering school and that USC doesn’t think she needs to transfer since that spot might be for someone else who needs it lol. But yeah, I don’t think you’re the only one!

I just got a winter grade request. I got a 4.0 first quarter at ucr, and have TTP.

Not to get anyone’s hopes up, but I think the first wave may be coming soon. My counselor is out of her office this week for “university business” so I’m not sure if that means they are starting to admit some people soon. If anyone knows any different please correct me if I’m wrong.
Where on the portal is requesting winter grades? I don’t see it on my portal but I don’t want to miss anything… Lol
Also, for everyone wondering about winter grades and the requests, here’s my opinion.
If you are being asked for Winter grades, it may mean that they had not received it with your Fall grades, and they want to see if you have more units because you may be on the low side in regards to your units.
For those who are not being asked, it may mean that either you had sent them in with your Fall grades, or maybe even you have plenty of units to where they don’t need to see them.
Or maybe they’re planning on sending an SGR and they will see the Winter grades then.
I don’t know for sure obviously because I’m not an admittance counselor. Just some ideas to think of because I know many people may be confused. I really don’t think it has anything to do yet with an admittance or rejection. They just started reviewing recently.
