People who receives a winter grade request are typically students who are enrolled in a quarter system school. Those who are at a semester-based school rarely receive them unless you’ve taken classes during winter break/intercession. However, it’s worth noting that semester kids will most likely receive a spring grade request if they still need more information.
Umm why is everyone submitting winter grades when you have to submit your official transcript?

I got a winter grade request form today, I also got a 4.0 from ucr and I thought I would be enough but I guess not lol
@candylover132 Did you get the request via email or through the portal?
It is quite common that rising sophomores will get an SGR/WGR because you do not have that many college course work to show USC your consistent performance. Rising juniors are way more unlikely to get one.
@123vgabc yeah it is late but i mean you can pretty much expect to find out from now until may 31st… or if you get SGR, sometimes decisions can extend until june or july. Like I said, one of my relatives was admitted early July, so it really depends idk
@sagaciousforever I got an email about it and they requested on my portal. I think they requested it on my portal first and I didn’t see it so they emailed me. I am currently doing my english prereq rn so maybe they will ask for a SGR who knows at this point?

Yeah I’m really nervous about it. I spent so much time studying to get a 4.0, and to think this might lead to another rejection is really gonna suck

@90smix I submitted my application after I got my fall semester grades in December. The app was due in February so I had plenty of time to update it.
@neilsola Yes my fall quarter grades were in my transcript because I sent it in January (grades were posted in late December I think), but idk what to do about my winter quarter grades that were posted last week
you know what i’m not gonna stress anymore. gonna go with the flow 
@90smix Exactly, don’t stress out over things you have no control over. If they need your grades they will ask for it. Just pretend like this website doesn’t exist
I would just chill and wait for the email notification. I won’t even check the portal because it takes away too much of my time checking every day.
I could use this time to do many other things.
