flat out rejected. it seems like it was a tough year for everyone.
I needed tons of financial aid, so that probably was a contributing factor

D rejected - 4.0 uw, 4.3 w, 8 APs/30 ACT. Surprised, but she’s been accepted to better schools. Rejections hurt though, she’s pretty depressed right now after a batch of rejections yesterday.

I was rejected .. that was really hurt because Bates is my dream ..
I was rejected. I never interviewed, so it wasn’t much of a surprise.
Accepted! 3.7ish UW/4.1 W/32 ACT. Good recs, good essay, and I interviewed with an alumnus in December.
I sincerely came back to this thread to check how it went for @jesuismari . I am sorry about your rejection. You should move on. I hope you get into one of the other schools you applied to.

I was asking for a considerable financial help too. Really, I think I was expecting this when I got deferred. I’m sad because Bates was my American dream college, but I speak here for all of us that got deferred/waitlisted/rejected, there’s a lot out there for us, maybe Bates wasn’t “meant to be”.

I still haven’t heard from Bates. I received the email on Friday that said decisions would go out by noon Saturday. Did those who were accepted receive the letter and financial aid in the mail, not from an email?
No by mail…I believe my D got it via the portal / e-mail.
