Anyone hear in the last 24 hours? D applied a while ago. Haven’t heard yet but about a quarter of her classmates who applied did - but only those with very high GPAs/scores and least likely to actually go. Waiting and Tulane is a top choice.

Also, I found out my decision online but have no information about merit scholarships or finical aid. Will that come with the decision in the mail?
Congrats to everyone who was admitted!

You will hear about merit scholarship in the paper mail, but need based FA decisions are not issued until mid to late March, usually.

Anyone heard from the VA area yet? I applied in late October and have yet to hear. Fingers crossed for a decision soon!

Still no word here (app complete Nov.6), but D’s friend received his letter today with the Presidential Scholar award.

@kellz10, did you submit an arts supplement with your application?
@abbywheat - we are still waiting here in VA too - S submitted his app in early October. I haven’t heard of anyone else in VA receiving a decision yet. Good luck!

Accepted Monday night with a 32 ACT, 3.93 wgpa, 9 AP courses, and 4 years of a varsity sport. Just got the acceptance letter today with a scholarship of $20,000 per year! Very happy with that!

Uhhh on the Gibson portal, it said that my application is incomplete and that I am missing the following documents, however no documents are stated (as everything has been sent to them). Has this happened to anyone else? where it says that my app is incomplete but it says that nothing is missing? lol this is weirdddd

Has anyone else from Illinois or upstate New York not heard back yet?

Hello, today I received my acceptance letter from Tulane University and I am a little taken aback. Just for some background information, I am an African American female who intends to study Chemistry and has a 4.0 UW gpa and a 33 ACT composite score, Tulane university is my dream school, and I took a lot of time on the application and had very strong essays. I also have 4 years of a varsity sport, and am currently the senior class president. However, my acceptance letter does not mention anything about merit aid. Will a financial package come later in the mail, or am I just denied any scholarship money already?

Hi @Volleyball1697 . If there was to be a merit scholarship it would have been in that letter. However, while I cannot say this with any authority, it sure would seem that a mistake has been made. I would take tomorrow to compose an email to your admissions person and just say something to the effect that while you are honored to have been accepted to Tulane, based on all the information you have gathered you were surprised to have not been offered a merit scholarship and an invitation to the Honors Program. Then restate your statistics and ask them to please review your record. You have nothing to lose.

Keep us informed.

@Volleyball1697

I just read your post from way back in January. Is it possible the volleyball situation is involved here? Are you being offered a full athletic scholarship? That would certainly be handled separately. Just curious.

@Castigations The same thing happened to me! I hope it is just a glitch

Gibson isn’t working for me all of a sudden. Saying invalid username or password. Says my e-mail is not in the system either. Weird, because I’ve been logging in for the last several months…

@Ctesiphon - same thing is happening to us - not sure what the problem is. How can S continue to compulsively check his status when the system won’t let him in!

Same thing is happening to me, hopefully it gets fixed tomorrow.

S submitted app nov 1, gibson says they are missing two docs that the school sent around the middle of oct. he gets periodic emails reminding him of the missing docs. He has emailed admissions, they say they have the docs but it’s not reflected in gibson portal.

Six weeks is a long time to process docs…certainly much longer than any other school to which my kids have applied, including much larger schools. Does anyone have a sense of what’s at play here?

tia

Same is happening to me! Definitely a bummer. I’m planning on calling the Admissions Office tomorrow to ask about it.
