2019 Tulane EA/SCEA Decision Thread

@whudduphomies‌

Don’t miss the deadline for the DHS and PTA just because you have not heard yet. You have to get those in by the 15th.

@fallenchemist‌ i have to say thank you to you too! reading through your posts on this thread to the other users really helped to answer so many of the questions that i wanted to ask. just a quick question though, what is the qualification level to be invited into the honours program?

also, really happy to find out that i got the founders scholarship! 23 k a year- for all international applicants, we get our acceptance letters in our emails within 12 hours of getting accepted on gibson. the email isn’t the entire application package, but just includes your acceptance and any merit aid you got!

Just got my Tulane acceptance!

Just got an e-mail to reaffirm what I saw in Gibson!

"Thank you for submitting your application to Tulane University. Our records indicate that we have not yet processed the documents listed below. Please know that our processing time is typically 2-3 weeks from the date received in our office. This means that we may have the documents below, but they have not yet been logged into our system.

If you have not yet sent these documents to us, please do so as soon as possible so we may complete your application and render you an admission decision."

But there is not any documents I have not submitted!!! Look! there are no documents “below”!!!

@longhorndreamer‌ ahah I’m white…

@Ctesiphon‌

Call Tulane admissions office today and find out what is going on with your file.

Ditto to FC’s post #606.

Also, this is an opportunity to communicate with Tulane on a legitimate point and in the process express the very strong desire to attend Tulane. I would also … again on the same premise that your are legitimately confused … email the admissions counselor assigned to your region (easily located on the Tulane Admissions website) and again … if you have something valuable to offer in the way of information about your fall semester at school, or something you just forgot to mention in your application, say it now!

so… “Your application is complete and is awaiting review” means that my application hasn’t been viewed at all yet?

Applied EA in September and still waiting to hear . . .

My S’s status went from complete and awaiting review to pending review between last night and this morning. His ACT scores from October took forever to post (Nov 28) so that probably kept his file from being looked at sooner.

I got my acceptance letter today - 23K Founders Scholarship! Posted my stats a while ago… International, 31 ACT, 4.3 GPA, excellent ECs

wondering how many people still waiting to hear are from west coast? we are…

Still waiting in TN also…

Still waiting in Seattle … I’m thinking deferral … bummer …

is there any way we could still get a decision today?

what time do decisions usually come out on gibson?

Waiting in FL… comparing my stats and extracurriculars with others on here I think I would be accepted, but I get more nervous everyday…

I’m still waiting in Atlanta too.
Applied in October, 4.0 UW 4.51 W GPA, 32 ACT, 3 AP 9 Dual Enrollment at Kennesaw State University, graduating high school a year early. Completed “Why Tulane” essay.

I’m anxious, but I’m a firm believer whatever happens is meant to be. Georgia Tech is my #2. EA Decisions for Tech drop on Jan 10th, so at least I have that to look forward to.

does tulane send out admission acceptances through out the day? no specific time?

From what I’ve read on this thread and others, yes, that is the case - especially as the December 15th deadline approaches. Admissions Counselors are working around the clock to make decisions, and some decisions may even be posted over the weekend. Good luck to you! My fingers are crossed as well!

shell765 – decisions don’t come out at any particular time to my knowledge, and that can include weekends too and its not limited to a particular time during the day. My son’s Gibson account listed him as accepted last Sunday afternoon. We checked a few hours earlier and it was still “awaiting review.”
