@HarleyTheQuinn Your stats look good! I think you have a solid chance of getting in!
May the odds be in our favor yall…
Ayee I was always hoping a thread like this would exist! Thank you for making this!
GPA: 4.0
Pre-reqs: done by fall 2018
IGETC: done
TAP: Yes, but I did not select an alternate
Applied: UCSB, UCI, UCLA, UCSD, UCB
Accepted: UCI, UCSB
Rejected: UCB (was missing like 4 pre-reqs lol, why does Berkeley have so many requirements!!)
Pending: UCSD, UCLA
EC: not much, did an internship in psych during the fall, and was a member of psych club, the rest of my extracurriculars were stuff from high school
Essays: I like them lol
Did anyone here receive the invitational email for the regents scholarship? I did not get it and I’m kinda bummed But ultimately I just want to get accepted to the school with or without the scholarship.
Personally I’ve been super stressed and anxious, and I’m sure you guys can relate. I’m not lying when I say that I truly believe everyone on this thread has shown great stats and should get in! Like seriously, every post I read from you guys so far is solid. Hopefully we all get in!! . knocks on wood
@oneyear I did not get the Regents email either, but agree that I just want to get accepted haha. I have also been super stressed too, especially the past two weeks when UCLA’s date was ambiguous. LOL I did not apply to Berkeley partly because of the pre-reqs too. And they don’t count certain AP scores for the pre-reqs. >_>
Hey guys, thought might as well post my stats:
MAJOR: Psychology
MAJOR PRE-REQUISITES: Done by spring for UCB and UCLA only
IGETC: done by spring
TAP: No
GPA: 4.0
Applied to: UCB, UCI, UCD, UCLA, UCSD
Accepted: UCB, UCI (TAG), UCD
Pending: UCLA, UCSD
ECs/Work/Volunteer: errand and escort volunteer at a hospital, paid graphic design internship at a fashion magazine, freelanced graphic design, school magazine lead graphic designer AND school events graphic designer for the entirety of high school, helped at parents’ business, organized lgbt community in home country, dean’s list, etc.
ESSAYS: talked about really vulnerable stuff!! (which i was super scared of writing about since it can either be a big hit or miss!! but overall i think it sold me to Berkeley??? i am still so shook)
STATUS: International Student in a CCC, skipped last two years of high school and went straight to college (took GED)
Personally, I really want to go to UCLA. (but lol I didn’t get the regents invite i’m really starting to doubt myself) However, everyone I know has been telling me to SIR to UCB because of their prestige. (but honestly i think they’re the same) But then again, I can’t really picture myself there. (considering their environment, and location). I know both schools have really great psych programs I just don’t know where I would personally fare better at.
Wish you all the best for the upcoming decisions!
@jedenic Thank you! I think I remember seeing you on there but I hardly remember half of the people on the old forum hahaha. Yeah I decided to stay back and grind that GPA. Hopefully, it’ll pay off with TAP.
@ishitak Thank you!
@ishitak Thank you!

Weaknesses: 4 W’s (explained)
OMG I just realized something. I was looking back at my UC application and forgot to check the box for the TAP program under the “California Community College Transfer Admission Programs” section. Ughh. I got TAP certified and mentioned in the educational prep program that I was in TA. That should be fine, right?
Update: Never mind! Found out it doesn’t matter. Whew lol.
@jedenic I also got accepted to UCI as psychology but thinking of switching to PSB/psychological science! Do you mind if I message you? Lol
Did anyone else in TAP apply to Linguistics and Psychology as their alt major for UCLA? I notice there’s very little people applying to it every year lol
Did anybody received the Regents scholarship invite from UCDavis and didn’t get in? Cause that happened to me.
@HarleyTheQuinn Nope, I should’ve tho. I put psychobiology as my alternate.
I used AP credit to satisfy the Statistics requirement. I got a 3 on my AP Stats exam, and on assist.org it says the accept this, but I’m scared they might view the 3 negatively. What do you guys think? I’m honestly just scared and overthinking and could use any comfort right now haha.
It’s fine that you used it, I used a 3 on the AP bio test to satisfy the bio pre-req. I even sent in my failed AP tests lmao. Also, a passing score is a passing score whether it’s a 3 or 5. They’re holistic on other areas of the application, not on the AP scores.
IGETC accepts 3. It’s fine.
@ishitak wow, that is odd. Makes me wonder if admissions and ppl who select Regents work separately?
Hey guys, I know UCLA accepts 70-semester credits but I have 74-semester credits, will that affect anything for me in terms of admission or anything else?
