2019 UCF Acceptance/Scholarship Thread

@dani3697 I was waitlisted then within two weeks I was offered admission (see comments above your post). To get off the waitlist I sent in a letter telling them that UCF was my number 1 choice and shared some of my achievements again, etc. I also sent in first semester grades as well as a letter of recommendation from my teacher. I believe that helped me get off the waitlist quickly.

I emailed multiple undergrad admission counselors with how it is as well my top choice along with my updated resume/achievements as well as send in another letter of rec and even have my teacher call them with me to see what we could do. did you send in a letter by mail or email?

@jeneric where are you getting these numbers from? that seems way too low for ucf especially

Hey everybody, just found this discussion and I’m a little concerned that I won’t be accepted to UCF since my application has been deferred. Any advice would be appreciated, here’s my info.

Type and Amount of Scholarship Awarded: N/A

Are you accepting admission? Absolutely!

@dani3697 I got the numbers from UCF’s Common Data Set- it’s a report that almost all schools put out. It’s really useful. Freshman admissions is under Section C. You can find out average GPA, SAT/ACT stats and acceptance numbers on there as well for the Fall class- I don’t believe Summer is included. Just google UCF CDS.

I’m not sure if the people who get off the waitlist before May are counted, but they should, I think schools sometimes fudge the numbers a bit. You’ve done a lot of follow up- I hope you hear positive news soon!

Hey all, I was accepted to UCF a little while back, and have received a financial aid package. However, I have not received any information regarding the Pegasus scholarships. I was wondering if it was too late to be awarded one, or if I may find out in the future if I do receive one.

csodI01,
We were told that at this time they were “awarding scholarships on a case by case basis”. Call the school and tell them you want to be considered. My son received one but there is less and less money left as time goes by.

Hi,
Has any from New York state received a decision yet? Thanks

@FLGDAD Thanks a lot for your reply, I’ll be sure to give them a call.

@dbear18 I applied for Summer semester transferring from NY and haven’t heard anything back. I’ve been deferred for probably 2 months now and when I called last they said it’s just a waiting game. I’m getting frustrated because I need to start making living arrangements if I get accepted and they’re not giving me any answers.

@dani3697 I emailed the admissions email

thanks Betaant

@ethanb5001 what’s the specific email you emailed?

@Wallflower2001
