@IvyHopeful98 Thank you! That’s very kind of you!
@IvyHopeful98 Thanks!
Does anyone know when decisions should be released?
@kau123 As far as I know, all they’ve said is late March. I would guess around March 25 is when they will be released, but I have no reasoning other than late March to believe this.
@XoXdreamerXoX Congrats on your likely. It gives me a lot of hope. Our applications seem to be pretty similar. I also got a National Hispanic Scholar and AP Scholar with distinction.

If I have yet to receive a LL or an invitation to Reilly Visitation Weekend does that mean I’m not going to get in?
@collegepero I definitely wish you the best of luck! If you’ve not gotten a LL or Reilly invitation, then I wouldn’t worry if I were you. As I stated earlier in this thread, only a small amount of people get those. Your chances aren’t 0 just because of a lack of one of these two things.
@collegepero Not at all. There is a very small percentage of students who get invited to Reilly or receive a likely letter… Roughly 80 students are invited to Reilly, and “the Spring Visit Program welcomes between 40 and 100 participants, depending on the weekend.” I’m not sure if there are multiple weekends, but let’s assume there is 2 for the sake of calculations.
So out of ~3500 who are admitted, only 300 students maximum who attend/are invited. That’s about 9% of the admitted class. It’s not a deal-breaker if you don’t get invited to either of these programs.
(There’s 3 Spring Viz Weekends)
@XoXdreamerXoX Thanks for letting me know. The calculations do remain similar if we assume that around 70 attend per week. So again, nothin to worry about.
But yeah, the argument still stands that it’s relatively insignificant to get a LL or Reilly invitation, once such a small amount of admitted students get those.
@XoXdreamerXoX what was the subject line of the email?
@Mysonsdad “You are invited to the Spring Visit Weekend at Notre Dame”
In other news, we are now officially (as of EST) in decision month! Hard to think that we are finally the ones in this position, after having watched the threads of others going through the exact same thing in previous years.
Does anyone know if the fact that I am not Catholic hurt my chances of being accepted
@kau123 no it doesn’t, although students with Catholic identity is favorable.
There’s no preference for Catholic students at ND, so don’t worry.
The reason why so many admitted students are Catholic is because most that apply are Catholic since it’s a Catholic university.
@Fiona1997 @XoXdreamerXoX That makes me feel much better, simply looking at the percentage of Catholic students made me think that they were showing preference to those who were Catholic. I never really considered the fact that a majority of students applying are catholic, as stupid as that may sound
@kau123 I can tell you, in our son’s case, we are non-Catholic and he was accepted to ND and pre-admitted to Mendoza. I do believe, however, they still look for kids who have a world-view and/or vision of servitude – which matches well to our son and his values. They give you the opportunity to express that spirit in their supplemental prompts.
Is it a good sign to be getting a lot of requests for financial documents or does everyone get those?
