It was!

Did they confirm it was supposed to be for only admitted students? Im freaking out now, I want to call to confirm I was accepted but what if they tell me I wasn’t.

From what I understand it was meant for admitted students but absolutely call to confirm

Any update?

I didn’t get any email like that. I wonder if that means I didn’t get in :frowning:

I just checked my student portal and I got in! I was a late applicant so I didnt have high hopes.

I am wondering if anyone can give me any insight about my stats. I haven’t heard back yet and I am super nervous. I applied last year to Chapman for creative producing at Dodge as a first year student and didn’t get in. This year, I applied for public relations at Dodge as a 1st year transfer student, so I would be going to Chapman for my sophomore year. I currently attend the Newhouse school at Syracuse University and I am a film and tv major. By the end of the year, I will have 30 college credits. I have taken mostly all GE classes and currently have a 3.667 gpa out of 4. My high school stats aren’t the best, I had a 3.3 GPA with a 600 English SAT and 500 math SAT but I didn’t submit my SATS this year to Chapman. I have really strong writing skills and believe I wrote really good essays. I have a ton of extracurriculars and even some job experience. I have visited campus before and have attended virtual info sessions. Just wondering if anyone could give me any input on what you think my chances are!

Hi @lovey8888! I think you look super competitive. However, it is super hard to chance someone for Chapman admission, as they use a holistic approach for their acceptances. Historically speaking, Dodge is the last to make decisions, so try not to stress over others being accepted.

I’m a dodge major and I haven’t heard anything yet

I havent either. I thought we would hear before their spring break starts which is on Monday. They also said Mid March for transfers, so I’m wondering if maybe we will hear sometime today.

When I sent the email with my info and asked if I would still be able to send in my app late. They said to send everything in within 2 weeks so I could get my decision with the other transfer applicants. They said transfer decisions would come out by late March. So you should hear back before the end of the month.

Hi, I appreciate everyone’s input, I have been reading for a couple weeks but have not contributed yet. I am currently a Class of 2023 student at a 4-year university on the East Coast, and I applied to Dodge for film production. I also applied to USC for film production, CalArts for film production, and LMU for film production. I was rejected from LMU less than 2 weeks after submitting my app because they basically said they ran out of spots since they do rolling admission. I have not heard back from any other schools yet, but I also have been prone to avidly checking my email, my app status page, and this forum!

I had to email my counselor to update her on something and she replied March 3rd saying they planned to release results in the next two weeks but here we are

Yeah, I guess we aren’t hearing back this week…

By the way, since I’m new to the thread I just wanted to add that I have a friend that goes to Chapman and works in the admissions office, and she said that last year the acceptance rate for Dodge transfers was approximately 4%- 6% for film production. The other dodge majors aren’t much better either. It’s Ivy League odds, so for everyone reading this, know that getting rejected doesn’t mean you aren’t good enough! I know I’m trying not to get my hopes up, because there are a lot of factors at play. Be proud of the work that you presented, and know that if it doesn’t work out maybe it just wasn’t the right fit.
