I got waitlisted!
I hate the word rejected. I will go with respectfully declined. Best of luck to everyone!!
That is amazing! Get on that waitlist for sure!
Did anyone else get in or get waitlisted? It doesn’t seem like they accepted many people this year.
@stanfordsunshine2 and others! There is a waitlist thread if anyone else is waitlisted. It is kind of hard to find. Look up Stanford college confidential and then click the first link then you should see 2021 Fall Stanford Transfer Waitlist or something like that
Congratulations! Is it possible if you can share your stats/ec’s?

I got waitlisted which feels like a massive accomplishment for me even if I don’t end up getting off it.
@nathaniel22 @stanfordsunshine2 did they say how many people got in or what the acceptance rate was or how many people got waitlisted?
Unfortunately no, think we’ll have to wait for the common data set. Even then that doesnt seem to tell the number of transfer applicants waitlisted or accepted from waitlist. I’m just gonna hope for the best and prep for the worst.

Thanks
Hey I’m a current high school Senior and Stanford is like one of my dreams to transfer to, so do you think I could ask a few things? Hmu @Ditr#6221 on Discord if you’re comfortable talking and stuff.
Congratulations! Is it possible if you can share your stats?
No problem!
Major: Chemistry
GPA: 4.0 at current institution, had a lower GPA at the institution I attended at 16 but transferable GPA for my acceptances seems to calculate to a 3.96 or so.
ECs: Nothing really notable because I spent the last two years caretaking for my mom who had cancer while I was studying full time. I do mention some online community management stuff I did (FB groups with up to ~300k members, didn’t mention it but the largest had media coverage and has a Wikipedia page)
Essays: Probably the best I submitted to any school, a couple were still sorta weak tbh. I hate my own writing though so I may be being too harsh of a critic on those. They mainly discuss the challenges I’ve faced.
Other info: I’m Native and from a CC. My background has been a bit rough, I talk in my essays about growing up poor and coming from a broken home. I didn’t learn middle school level math until I was 15 or 16 due to my circumstances. I discuss how being poor lead me to become apathetic and how I overcame that apathy.
Awwww thank you so much!
Yes of course! I’m a non-traditional student, I started taking college classes at my CC at age 14 and I am grateful for the opportunity to have gained leadership positions on the local, regional, state, and international level (ex. president of college’s honors program student council, student government vice president, phi theta kappa vice president, cc state senate delegate)! I have a 4.0 GPA and didn’t take the SAT or ACT.
Same! Congratulations–I hope we both get in together!
