Hey, nice to meet you, I am also a transfer student applying from a four-year university. Currently a sophomore.
GPA: 3.7
Age: 19
Major in Industrial Engineering and Product Design
I am transferring because I cannot pursue the education I would like to at my current institution and believe Stanford has the educational environment for my passions. I am really excited to see what awaits us and wish you good luck in the process; hopefully, we both get accepted.
I don’t think these rates will be effected but there is a possibility they accept more people in a desire to create a more vibrant transfer community of at least 100 people per class.
^ This! I agree that they will accept more students if it was their intention to create a bigger and more diverse transfer community, COVID or no COVID, which I heard has been a work in progress for quite some time. With that said, I hope they do accept more students this year!
hello!
i am trying to transfer out of uc davis cs to stanford.
stats:
act 34
uw gpa 4.0 (i dont think we do weighted)
i do a lot of cs research including at a lab at cmu and princeton so that’s there
im really nervous for some reason
all the best folks!
God only knows why I’m here but I’ve submitted an application and I pray they give me a chance. I don’t even have to stay in a dorm, I’ll be happy if they offer me a utility closet to live in.
In all seriousness, it’s a shot in the dark but I poured my heart out on my essays and I’m hoping I hear some good news. Good luck to everyone else!
