Annual survey by NACAC, released earlier than in past years, reveals colleges are still accepting applicants and are not requiring students to respond to offers by May 1.
I just read through that list, and there are some great schools accepting freshmen that also have housing and financial aid available!
So the initial list is around 240 colleges, give or take. Any idea how this compares to prior years? Just curious.
Didnât know you could do a banner! I posted this thread last week (the list started at 195 schools), maybe you can pull in the comments on that thread @sybbie719? NACAC list of college openings is out early
@stem2017 This list should get quite largeâŠprobably 600 or so schools by mid-May and into June.
600?!? Wow!
In PA Iâve seen several âhappyâ and âsuccessfulâ students from Duquesne, Elizabethtown, Juniata, Messiah, Susquehanna, and York College of PA. With Arcadia, make sure the âfitâ is right. If so, it works, if not, it doesnât.
In NY, really surprised to see Syracuse on the list.
Up to 262 schools today. I havenât been tracking daily changes, but Clemson, U Arizona, UNC Charlotte, and U Oregon are all on the list now (taking frosh and transfers).
Syracuse shows âundeterminedâ in the Freshman column, which leads me to believe they are not accepting Freshman applications, only Transfer applications. I may be wrong.
Any frosh interested in Syracuse should call and ask. Itâs likely there are openings in certain schools. After the deposit date, it should be more clearâŠbut early birds get the worm.
Good point!
Good point about Syracuse. They also have âNoâ after âReply Date After May 1â so I would hop on it if I were interested in them.
287 colleges today - up from 262 yesterday.
Newbie here, what does this mean? I donât really understand.
The colleges on this list are still accepting applications for freshman, transfers or both, for Fall 2021.
