2021 RD - any chance at all?

Hi, so I’ve recently been looking into Brown since it’s an excellent school in the urban setting that I really desire. But I am unsure if it’s even worth applying to based on my stats -

Is there a realistic possibility that I will be accepted into Brown or is it essentially futile to apply?

You have a chance, but your ordinary ECs will make you blend into the larger applicant pool. If you write very creative and well written essays, then I think it would be worth applying.

Thank you! Writing has been a strong point of mine so I’m hoping my essays will be well received.

I think your test scores are a little on the low side for Brown, and I don’t know how your grades look in terms of A’s, B’s, etc. but this is definitely a high reach for you. Your extracurriculars don’t really stand out from what many other high school students will have. Like @ap012199 said, really work on your essays to make them unique and “you.”
