My girls like these since they come with two lenses one for sunny days and the other for cloudy days.
My husband ordered this Iphone 12-mini “wallet/stand” for me as gift and then decided to suprise me now instead of waiting for Christmas.

It is similar to Apple magnetic wallet, but I think cheaper AND it converts to a stand. It holds up to 3 credit cards. I carry my iphone in pocket continuously, so I won’t always us the accessory…. but it will be handy on some outings.
I’m loving that your husband was so excited about this gift that he couldn’t wait to give it to you!
I got this small inexpensive gift a while back - it’s really the greatest phone holder - so clean, easy and adjustible. So much better than complicated ones that grip the phone!
(actually not sure this is the exact one I have but it’s very similar!)
Jo, I have the same one in pink. I showed it to someone, and she too ordered it. Ya, mine has arms where chargers can fit in, but looks almost the same. Great investment for under $10
I picked up this stand for $8 yesterday at TJ Maxx ( in the men’s toys section). It will make a nice Chanukah present for son since it’s easily packable. I’ve found some fun gifts in that area of the store in years past.
Thanks for that stand recommendation. It looks like I could use it for my 10.2in ipad. Normally I have it in a case/keyboard combo (clone of system we made for my Dad)…. but angle adjustment not possible, a bit awkward on Zooms and Facetimes.
This is always my favorite thread!
Just wanted to let you know that Trader Joes has the wax covered amaryllis bulbs for $7.99. I bought one today but think I’ll go back and buy a few more in case I need any last minute gifts. They also had paper whites in a nice wooden box, I think it was $10.99.
I got this wish paper idea from last year’s thread and the kids enjoyed it - if you get the smaller size it would fit in a stocking.
momtogkc - love the wish paper idea - my D would love it, also son’s GF.
Having a hard time getting in the groove for Christmas shopping. My kids are not big on “stuff”. And now that I’ve been more focused on Earth Care topics (in a church group) trying to be less wasteful. It may be a good year for gift cards. But of course we will still seek out the chocolate orange treats!
Gift cards are always a good choice in our family. We also like to give experience gifts. We gave each of our girls their Ikon ski passes for their birthdays this year. For Christmas we bought D1 tickets to see Celine Dion and D2 tickets to The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
For those interested, Costco was selling CPk gift cards yesterday &69.99 for 2 $50 cards.
I bought two waxed bulbs from Trader Joe’s yesterday. The clerk told me he had been selling them all day.
Don’t forget to shop at Etsy. I bought kitchen towels and pot holders there, for example.
I am visiting D & SIL, so headed to TJ’s for waxed bulbs at 8 this morning on the advice I got from phone call yesterday. I got several and noticed that before I left at 8:30m about 70% had been snagged. When I called yesterday, the guy said they are getting 2 cases per day and they are going fast each morning.
Just saw a 3-pack of amaryllis bulbs at our local Costco. $22.
I bought the TJ waxed amaryllis before reading directions. How have those of you who have purchased them in previous years stored them before gifting to prevent too much growth since you don’t add any water evidently? Should have fished those readers out of my purse and read in store, but lots of hub-bub in that area for bulbs and grump trees as store opened.
grommet dot com has unusual and cool things.
Ate they individually wrapped in the canister? I have 5 stockings to fill.
