2022 Admissions Decisions

@jalapenos09 I’m pretty sure they come out on a rolling basis.

@jalapeno99 mine neither

My son applied into the CoE for comp eng, but his acceptance letter said he was accepted into the college of letters and sciences. 34 ACT and 3.9 GPA UW (4.4 W). Apparently means he didn’t get in, but sure would be nice for a little clarity in the decision letter??? Not very professional if you ask me, but doesn’t matter for him as he got into UIUC, which has a better comp eng program.

Is there any international student who has received his/her decision?

@rsy1999 I am an international student and got accepted to College of Engineering for Computer engineering.
Dont worry you will get it.

Can anybody throw light on how good the university is?

I am in a dillemma: I have UCSD, UMass(amherst) - merit scholarship, UW-Madison and University of Waterloo ( in all I have the major I wanted) and I am unable to choose. Can some help me out?

I also have UMich but I dont want to go in Undecided into a university with deadly competition.

@jalapeno99 didn’t get mine either.

Mechanical engineering OOS
junior year gpa: 3.29 unweighted with (I think) all possible core AP classes except math
EC’s: very little, 70 volunteer, 3 years marching band, 2 years band, around 350 job hours
ACT: 33

I sent 2 letters which, both of which I’ve never seen but know they were great
essay’s were around 1 hour of work if I remember correctly
I can’t believe I got accepted…

@rsy1999 No I havent yet :frowning:

Have any king mogride scholarship applicants got their decisions yet?

Rejected OOS 1540 SAT 3.5 UW, 4.3 Weighted
AP’s: 3, 4, and 5 in History exams, taking 4 more exams this May
EC’s: OK ~ JV Golf, Scholastic Bowl, BPA (business competitive activity, national qualifier)
Good letters of rec
Not really sure what they were looking for, anyone know why I got rejected?

Kinda surprised since Wisconsin was supposed to be my safety school… whatever at least I got into my top choice (Indiana, go Hoosiers baby)

Where can I view admission decisions? I have been deferred from EA round. Is it out for RD yet?

Accepted for Electrical Engineering
OOS from CA
4.17 GPA weighted
SAT: 1470 superscored
SAT2: Math 2 (800), Chem (800), Physics (800)
6 AP tests all 5s
ECs: band 3 yrs, 300+ hours of community service, science club, track and xc 2 yrs

@gordonyang I believe UWM does not accept superscore, so what are your original scores?

Are the releasing results in waves today? Didn’t know the admissions office was working on Saturdays. International applicant here, though the biz school is a reach for me. No decision yet… very anxious

@CrypticCrimson They are releasing them in batches. Looks like they released the College of Engineering decisions out. What major did you select? I selected CS so most likely they will out my next week because it’s in College of Letters and Sciences

Some international results are out. I am an international applicant and got in today.

@snowdencole what exactly is the CeO program? I never applied for that and in my letter it said I recieved that and that my acceptance was contingent to it. Is it a scholarship or what? Can you explain it to me, thank you!

@Antoniocollege99 Take a look at this link. I hope it helps! https://ceo.wisc.edu/

@aps510 thank you! I looked up what it is, but is it a competitive program, do they give out scholarships?

@Antoniocollege99 . That was a typo. I meant CoE (College of Engineering). He applied into computer engineering as his first choice, with his second choice being computer science. Got accepted into general studies, which is total joke as he has great numbers and got into other better engineering schools. I think Wisconsin did that since he showed no demonstrated interest. It was sort of a curtesy “you’re accepted, but since we don’t think you’re coming – not into anything good.”
