Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19 (capped weighted):::::UCB: 14%- Reach

What is your Fully Weighted UC GPA?

You realize the UCB does not have a “business major” so are you applying for Economics? Also not a direct admit into HAAS Business school.

Competitive SAT scores, but SAT II scores are going to hurt your chances. You have good EC’s showing your Business focus.

Is UCB affordable with not financial aid? $60K/year to attend as an OOS student.

Sorry for a simple question: what is “Weighted and CAPPED” GPA mean? I calculated my weighted UC GPA being 4.35 how do I calculate my Capped GPA?

Use the RogerHub UC GPA calculator. It will give the UW UC GPA, the weighted/capped (maximum of 8 semesters of UC approved Honors/AP/IB or DE courses taken 10-11th) and the Fully weighted (unlimited honors points for these classes taken 10-11th).

You have a really good shot, but I think you should try and improve your ACT/SAT scores to be safe. I disagree with Gumbymom, your SAT II scores aren’t going to hurt you, they’ll only help. When a UC Berkeley representative came to my school, she said that even if you don’t do that well on the SAT subject tests it still shows you took the initiative/extra step to take them. To be safe you might not want to send your US History score.

In your UC application, make sure to really go in depth in the “activities” portion and give the max amount of details of the activities you did. Don’t just describe what you did, describe how you went above and beyond in that activity. Also keep in mind there is no “business” major, you have to apply to the Haas school of business once you’re already at Berkeley and it is extremely competitive. There is no guarantee you can graduate from Berkeley “majoring” in business. Another thing, Berkeley does not give out of state students financial aid, so do take that into consideration as Gumbymom stated above.
