Correct. This is what was said in the MT info session. They gave those numbers for MT. Over 1500 applications and 418 asked to audition (called back). Not sure about acting. I thought there would have been more applications. That number seemed low to me. I know CMU had around twice that amount (but I think that was for acting and MT). Maybe since Umich is such a reach, many don’t bother to apply? So basically if were given an audition to Umich, you have a 5% chance of getting in. 95% of those who made it to a callback will be rejected.

I think Julliard is even more crazy because they have people apply who have already completed their BFA at another school and are working actors. It is almost impossible for an 18 year old just out of high school to be admitted.

Yes we heard that. At my D’s audition most of the applicants had BFAs.

Good luck to her! It is so exciting to be able to travel and see all the schools and I am sure she is doing amazingly! My S had a crazy experience and it all worked out in the end! He wasnt able to have any fun with it and I hope that you guys had some fun in NYC this weekend, at least playing in the snow!
Thank you! We live a train ride away from NYC so it was a late night ride after Saturday’s virtual audition (at home) to the in-person UNCSA appointment on Sunday. We always manage to find some light moments. Good to know it all worked out for your S.

Was pondering USC # of prescreen passes / # invited to audition?
BAL on UMich auditions for all those that applied! 
My kiddo had virtual Purchase audition this wkend and loved it! They were a lot of fun to work with, made them comfortable, taught them something new and had really insightful answers to their questions.

I guess those results should come today. I heard (on this page or maybe FB) that the numbers are quite low. BAL!

My son just received an interview for UCLA Theater. Does anyone know what to expect in terms of questions or what they are looking for? He’s already resubmitted his auditions with their directors notes. Thanks.

My daughter has not and to my knowledge, none of her friends or those on the FB page I follow have either.
And I’ll add to also make sure that the prescreens are representative of her very best possible work.
