May I ask when did you get selected off the waitlist ? Way before or after the mass waitlist-closure letter? Did you receive call or just email? Thanks

Literally the same time from what I’m seeing on this thread, it was like 12pm ET. I just got an email that an updated decision was available in my portal.
What is the extended waitlist?
A very small group of students were selected to be put on an “extended waitlist” for the rest of the summer, while everyone else was released.
My son got this extended waitlist

I’m curious - could anybody give more details on the extended waitlist? What did it say, and what is “a very small group”? Congratulations to those who got on it. 
From what I have seen, nobody on reddit has mentioned getting accepted off the waitlist and nobody has mentioned the extended waitlist on reddit. On here, only one person mentioned getting accepted and only 2-3 mentioned this extended waitlist. Those who did get the extended waitlist, also would you mind mentioning which school you applied to, major, and anything else you want to share.
