I know UC averages. I would love to attend a top level UC such as LA or Berkeley, but I'd also like USC and such. I know 2050 isn't a satisfactory score. I'm taking classes everyday for SAT and I take a test every week. 2050 is my highest. What score should I am for to be "safe" for one of those schools? e.g. UCLA, Berkeley, USC :) thanks all.

P.S. I am a junior next year. Just finished sophomore year. If that makes any difference? lol

Yeah that makes a difference because you have more than a year until your last chance to take it. You have lots of time to improve to 2200 and beyond, so don't really worry about it.

Thanks aznboy. I was actually ecstatic with a 2050 lol. I started about 4 months ago with a 1710. And I was like "Wow, least it's better than my whole SAT class." 4 months later bam 2050. I've been going at about:
1710.
1700
1650
1810
1920
1900
2050

:)

Any other feedback? :)

well .. the averages for the uc's are out .. and ive heard from friends that the ucla sat average was 2020 or something .. so your score would be somewhat safe and give you a good chance

2100 for confidence ;)

lol what? 2020 ?? i thought they were like 2170 or so :) Aiyoh I dunno.

Thanks for the comment though. Boosts confidence. Although I hope it's not false hope lol. I'd be happy with 2150 or so. It's tough though :)

If you can get a 700 on each individual section, and you also have a 4.0 Unweighted, you'll be completely set for any of the UC's and USC. If you have a UC GPA of 4.18 or higher, then you're probably good to go too.

I'm about
Verbal - 700
Math - 640
Writing - 740

Around that average. I'm trying to get higher. Sat's is my problem
My GPA was 4.0 UW sophomore year.. Freshman year... meh.. but UC's don't regard it. I want USC or UC's :)
I'm class president.
Varsity Volleybal.
Varsity Basketball.
MVP for basketball.
I run a school for 20 8th graders. (it's like a small business kinda)
um.. that's about it? :)

SO MUCH EC!! wow .. im speechless .. :O

Haha i'll take that as a compliment :)

.. so what was your secret to memorizing 3k words? you haven't replied yet >.>

.. so what was your secret to memorizing 3k words? you haven't replied yet >.>

I replied :) please take the time to read it. It's long, but it will help.

I'm probably the last guy who should be telling you this, but IMO you're not safe in terms of security of your SAT score. Your scores seem to vary. Going high then low then high. Take it again and see what happens.

BTW can anyone post the averages (SAT) for UCI, UCR, and UCSD please?

Little_Duck. Thanks I completely understand :)

I know I'm not safe in security of SAT's. I'll try to get higher. I know it's not consistent. But I'll try to even improve more.

I'll try to get the scores for you..
K.. Averages..
UCI 1269 on just 2 M/V
UCR and UCSD are basically same.
UCSD is higher a bit.

How come only 2 of them are there? Oh and did you mean UCR and UCI are the same?

UCR and UCI are the same. I don't know why it doesn't show the W section. I'm guessing it'd be around 600. So I'd say 1750-1900 total. JUST an approximation. Not exact.

Hey Protege

Since you said your taking practice tests every week and that you take classes everyday and that your applying to UCs...methinks you are in the ELITE SAT BOOTCAMP program. Am i correct? If so what branch? I went to the Anaheim Hills one last year.

I took Elite.....Back in the 4th grade lol..

It was in Rowland Heights though.

Haha hey. I'm in Rowland Heights. Nah. I don't take that boot camp thing. I'm actually in ACI Institute?? It's a pretty Asian place lol. 2080 now ^^v
