So I'm going to be a senior this fall and I'm really looking forward to taking the SATs in October one last time and submit that for the college I'm EDing to. I took it once last March and I got a 2070, but I'm really looking to increasing my score by at least 130 points. Is it possible for me to get above 2300+ in a month though? Right now, I am taking all the practice tests in the Princeton Review Prep book and I'm planning on taking all ten tests in the Blue book. I took two practice tests so far and I keep fluctuating between the 2000 and the 2150 mark, my highest score so far being 2150.

Looking at my scores relative to each section, my Writing score continuously seems to be the weakest. Is the best way I can improve my scores only through practice? I keep getting discouraged by the fact that my scores are staying relatively stagnant. Will practice change this? Is what I'm doing the best method for a month?

For writing, look at tips online for writing, like SilverTurtle’s guide (on this forum on the top), and remember basic grammar rules. When you practice, actually look back at what you got wrong and find out what you did wrong. Good luck

what test did you get that score from? a cb test? i haven’t taken a cb test so far, only princeton review and ivy insider ones and my CR just really sucks. Occasionally i do well on writing. I jumped from 2160 to 2300 so far with ivy insider tests, but i’m sure the tests were wired to get easier as they go so…

There are some quick guides for writing that you can find on the internet. On my first SAT, I got a 610 on the writing section. I then looked at a SparkNotes guide, got a 670 on the next practice test, and a 690 on the following. Their grammar rules are pretty simple to follow once you learn them.
