Someone needs to make a countdown thread so we can all spaz together.

Looks like you made it ; ) someone needs to make a decisions thread soon though, lol

I was going to today...but I thought it would be pushing it.

Dude....imagine how we're going to feel on Dec. 14th.....

Oy vey, it's nerve-wracking. I still have other applications to do as well, but I would be nice to save money by not sending in my other applications if I get into Stanford. Still, at least I get to occupy my mind with world literature/history papers, extended essay, ITIN applications, and other stuff.

(After re-reading what I wrote, I can clearly see that my Jewishness is starting to show :7)

^haha!

I feel ya Missy Jo...my English teacher gave us a 7 page paper over break and here I am thinking, "oh gee, thanks for remembering that some of us were planning on doing college apps..."

Oh well...I have maybe 5 or 6 apps left...and I'll finish most by Dec. 15, but I'm hoping to also save some money. =X

Haha - yeah, our teachers generally assumed that a four-day break meant four days of free time to do homework. I have to admit, I've had since August to do my science fair paper that's due on Monday, but I didn't finish it until this morning at 1 or 2. On top of that, I was planning on finishing UC apps this weekend, but I realized that was unrealistic this morning as well after crashing at my desk.

And here I thought senior year was supposed to be easy. Now I see why the idea of senioritis is so appealing. . .

Totally...how many schools are you applying to, Missy Jo?

I narrowed my list down to six (counting UCs as one entity). So far, I have Stanford, CalTech, and I'd say about half of the UC app done. I'm applying OOS, but to be honest, I like the weather here in California a little too much to want to move to the northeast. There's nothing like an 80 degree Christmas, I tell ya, I'm not a cold-weather person at all :-)

the whole week before.. i swear.. no sleep at all

^^ Yeah, I know what you mean.. It's like anxiety of SAT scores being released X 1000!

yea im already stressed about it, i know i prolly wont get in, but i love Stanford so much...

dude you're really smart, you have as good a chance as anyone

Why 21 days? Can't Stanford notify us earlier? My GC was telling me that they may tell us earlier than Dec15.

20 days actually.

snowman2007--Stanford said that they will tell us by Dec. 15 at the latest. So it could possibly be a day or two before. (I think that's even more nerve-wracking, I would prefer if they said the exact time we would know our decisions so we could just go online and check)

I hate having to fill out all these other apps while hoping that I won't ever have to use them...

<= 19 days!

Wow...I can't believe decision time is drawing so close! @_@

Yikes....how far is everyone on their other apps?

MissyJo, you can fill out or even send in all the other apps but only send in the app fee to them if you are deferred or denied

Thanks for that reminder, Ailey :-) Yeah, I've just been so busy this year because now I work weekends too (1 full-time job+1 part-time job+IB diploma = 0 time + 0 life :-/ )So I haven't even had time to look at some of the supplements yet, which is pretty bad. I finally finished the UC applications about 30 minutes ago (my boss was nice enough to let me work on them as long as we don't have any clients) But I haven't submitted them yet because I want to review them at home, right before sending them off with my payments.
