I am class of 2013, 3.7 unweighted, top 10%. I live in SFLA & have top recruits on my team. Do I go for the D2 football scholarship, not that one has been offered yet, or do I go for the D1 school & probably give up football (5'11'', 180)? I am looking at engineering or chemistry. What do I do in the summer before senior year, besides 2-a-days? Do I contact coaches? I don't want to send film until season starts.

eh. this is somebody you should ask yourself. . . none of us can give you better advice than what you find more appealing. You need to sit down, talk to your parents, and , really think if you can make a living out of football. OR , think about how much it interests you , and , if so, is it enough to reject that D1 school. :p

I know, I just need input. Football is not my career goal, but it could be my ticket. I do love it, but I am realistic.

Could you try and walk on to a D1 program that isn’t that good but is still a strong academic school?

It’s definitely something that you/your family should thin pm about though

Thinking about that too…
