So I just got back my SAT score today: 2110 (650 CR, 750 M, 710 W (I know Cal poly doesnt use writing)). I have already sent my ED app and my GPA was 4.22 and 30 ACT (31 E, 34 M, 29 R, 27 S). I was just wondering if I should update my application and put on my SAT score as well because I think a 1400 is better than a 30 ACT, but I don’t know if it is worth the hassle.

it will definitely boost your app, so you should try doing it! it doesn’t hurt to try

Your official SAT report is sent separately from the app. You have to go to college board or ACT.org to send your official score. The spot on the app is optional and they only consider your official score report.

Yes, update your application. Your 30 ACT converts to a 1340 (math & reading) which is lower than your SAT scored of 1400. Good Job by the way! There is a deadline in which you can make changes to your application. Call CP admissions but I think I read Nov 15 deadline to change ED app. Also, CP admits only on student SELF-REPORTED data in the application. They won’t verify your stats and grades until after you accept so make sure it is accurate and up-to-date. Definitely send your scores through college board so that the CSU (& CP) system will get your scores but I don’t believe that CP admissions will go to their system for validation or updates. It is up to you to provide them with the information. Good Luck!

I also want to mention that CP might only look at Eng and Math subscores for ACT. So your 31 and 34 could superscore to a 33 ACT !!!

This is why you should always send both scores because you might not know which is better according to their calculations.
