2130 on new sats... am i ok?

would that score be decent for applying to johns hopkins??? 790 math 680 reading 660 writing... clearly i'm a math/science kinda guy

i got 700, 730, 700 respectively = same score as you (if you converted, since i took the old ones... i fluked BIG TIME on math, cuz usually i was scoring 750-770... arg) I got in ED for BME

ohhh... so... those were ur sat I's + ur sat II writing? the one thing that concerns me is that i'm not well balanced where as you clearly are... :(

are you a sr or jr? if you are the latter, then you can always take it again, and they will take your highest scores (im not sure if its individual or combined, but w/e)

junior... applying next year... but i think the highest i could get it is probably around 2200

I was quite unbalanced, in the opposite direction: 800 V, 660 M, 800 W. My grades followed basically the same pattern too, bringing my GPA down a great deal.

I made sure to demonstrate my passion for a non-math / science discilpine, and I also emphasized my extra curriculars and "non-tangibles."

2200 sounds great to me

thanks to both of you... @silver... ur right ur my opposite, my history/english grades kill my math grades... what we're ur gpa's??
uw... and ranks... if you don't mind divulging?

2200 is pretty good...! (If you combine my SATI + Wr I would have a 2210!)

I got into Hopkins - but not BME...

i got into BME regular decision w/ 2200 (combining old sat and writing)

SAT score doesnt really mean much, I would have a 2340 on the new one (780M 760V 800W) and I was waitlisted.

I don't think Hopkins looks at SAT's much anyways. If you have over 1850+ you'll be fine.

Hopkins is not big on SATs...they wont make or break your application to this school. focus on your high school transcript, your extracurricular activities, your essays - all those are more important to Hopkins than your SATs.
