My SI is a 217 (1460 - 710 reading, 750 math) for Florida (checked my score with a VPN). Last year, the cutoff for FL was 219 and the year before, it was 217. I’m really nervous as to whether the cutoff this year will increase or decrease. Do I have a chance?
Art says the range for florida is 216 to 220. Is there any chance it will go down this year?
@esperantist Most likely it will stay at 219 or go to 220. 217 is a great score and will certainly be commended.
@moscott That’s really unfortunate. Thanks for your answer though.
@esperantist Hopefully I’m wrong. Best of luck.
@esperantist - once the commended cut-off is determined in March/April, we’ll all know more about general direction of scores. FL can also have individual state fluctuations so you just never know. It’s prudent to expect to be a high commended but not SF. Nevertheless, you might want to have an SAT date in mind just in case of some favorable outcome for you. Whether/how much you prep will depend on a few factors, including whether you were planning to sit the SAT anyway.
