2210 old SAT vs 1500 new SAT

Hi everyone,

I took the old SAT back in January and got a 2210 (740 CR, 740 M, 730 W). I have signed up to take the new SAT next week, but on all the practice tests I have been getting scores in the 1490-1510 range. I plugged in my scores on an SAT score converter website, and from there I saw that my converted new SAT score was actually less than my old score. I don’t know how accurate those converters are, but still. I still have a week to try and improve my score, but between those two scores, which one should I send to colleges?

*FWIW, I took the ACT without writing and got a 34. I would send that, but my counselor said that even though some colleges don’t require a writing portion of standardized testing, it is highly encouraged.

Just an FYI, many people have called the SAT score converter provided by College Board inaccurate, and I personally feel like the converted scores are too high compared to the old SAT.

The responses for the stickied SAT Concordance Tables indicate something similar

just send both your ACT and SAT if you’re worried not doing writing is a disadvantage
