2220 SAT I, so Cornell?

Greetings.

I am an international student from a third world nation and have a score of 2220 in SAT I (CR 650, M 770, W 800), 800 in Physics, 800 in Mathematics II, and 800 in Chemistry. I am ranked first in a class of 100 students and have been awarded full waiver in the tuition fees at my school, which is among the top 3 schools in the country. My ECs are modest and recommendations from the counselor and two subject teachers will be somewhat above average. My major is electrical engineering. Chance me at Cornell or any other great school of engineering.

Remember that Cornell disregards the Writing portion of your SAT Reasoning test; in their eyes, you have a 1420.

which colleges consider the writing section important?

And you say you got an 800 in Writing? Haha.

That aside, most schools consider your Writing score the same as your CR and M scores. Off the top of my head, the schools that do not are Washington University in St. Louis, Cornell, UChicago and Georgetown.

@billabongboy9828: Enlighten me if I am wrong but you seem to me to be a nasty person who thought it wise to use humor, albeit failingly, to imply that my actual standard of writing does not correspond with my score in the Writing section of SAT I. You must be thanked, however, for answering my question concerning the importance that colleges attach to the Writing section.

^The only implication that I was making was that your semi-coherent post #3 was more in line with a “international student from a third world nation” than someone with a full Writing score.

Elaborate on your comment.

Ignore billabongboy9828, he is just being stupid.
All that aside I think you have a great chance with your SATs and rank. I think it really depends on how your extra-curriculars and rigor of curriculum play out. If you are strong in these two sections than you have a really good chance. Another aspect they migth consider is how much financial aid you need. If you need a lot of financial aid they are probably not going to accept you since they are not need-blind to those international students. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best…and good job on your SATs!! Best of luck!

^ I agree…

With that sense of humor (or lack thereof), I doubt you will fit in at even Cornell. Try again later.

Humor is an essential part of a college application.

Although humor is important there is no need to make rude comments like billabongboy9828 did, there was no need for those rude reamrks…and theyre not even funny…no humor involved in that

I think much will depend on whether or not you need aid and what country you’re from.

look think good but not great private colleges and think state schools like michigan state and georgia tech chance me back. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1033113-chance-me-ill-chance-you-back.html
