2230 SAT Vs. 33 ACT

I am a junior and am wondering which score would hold more value

SAT December 2015: 620 cr, 800 math, 620 writing
SAT January 2016: 680 cr, 770 math, 750 writing My superscored SAT would be a 2230

ACT April 2016: 35E 34M 30R 34S 33 Composite

Which test would suit me better if I am thinking about going for an economics or computer science major?

I think the ACT is better if you brush up on the reading you will be golden. I’m a senior and I took the ACT twice. The first time I got a 32 after brushing up on my English and Science I got a 35. You just have to put in a little work on reading and then you will have a fantastic score that will competitive at top Universities.

I was under the impression 2200=33 act (at least according to a chart published by act organization), so they seem pretty similar. Also, 99% on sat is 2200 and 99% on act is 33, which would support them being about the same. Both are great scores, congrats.

@ohboy321 – both scores are excellent! Is there a reason (besides cost) not to send both?

None at all. Would submitting both tests benefit me more than just sending one?

Now that I think about it, would you have to pay to send two separate SATs and an ACT? That would be three payments?? The results are great in both cases and if money is not an issue, then I would think about sending all of the scores.

They are both really good. Send them both - congratulations!

Also bear in mind many schools ask for all test results and one reason they do so is they don’t want people who retake and retake and retake…

And I agree these scores are great! - no need to retake!

If you count all the UCs as one school then there are only 12 schools that require “all tests”. I wouldn’t call that many.

Erin’s dad is right! poor choice of words on my part. But checkout this for which colleges want to see all http://blog.prepscholar.com/colleges-requiring-all-sat-scores-complete-list. It may be out of date so check your desired school http://blog.prepscholar.com/colleges-requiring-all-sat-scores-complete-list

Just make sure that your institutions of interest will accept the old SAT by the time you apply.
