My 2 cents for what it’s worth.
Cornell doesn’t look at writing, so in essence you have a perfect SAT, albeit a composite score.
Cornell does not allow the use of score choice, so all SAT scores must be sent.
They claim to only look at your best scores… so your SAT (ignoring Writing) is stellar!
Cornell ranks higher (US News) for Computer Science than any of theother schools on your list except Stanford.
Tied for #1 Carnegie Mellon, MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley

5 Cornell

Tied for #17 Columbia, UPenn

20 Rice

If computer science is your goal Cornell should be a good match for you.
A fantastic school for this pursuit!

The Bill and Melinda Gates Hall will be opening in a year on the Ithaca Campus:

These investments in Computer Science by Cornell will maintain or improve its stature as a world class Computer Science school in the future.
Also, Carnegie Mellon would have been a good match for your interests.
It is a great program too.

Best of luck to you!

Great sat score… how did u study?

Wow, OP! That’s really impressive. Your changes ought to be real high! ;)

Thanks for the insight collooker. Cornell is certainly a great school, and its one of the easier ones to get into out of my top choices, so I’m hoping that I’ll be accepted.
