I’m worried about my writing score! Direction please!
I’m a senior, and took the SAT only once in this December. <no hook="">
Score Breakdown- 760CR 800M 710W</no>

Fabulous scores. Be proud of yourself and stop worrying. CR and M are much more important than writing, but that writing score is pretty good, too.

You should familiarize yourself with the statistics Brown publishes on SAT scores and admittance. No one who is unaffiliated with the Office of Admission is able to speak authoritatively on SAT chances unless the information being passed along is in the public domain.

I could give you some links, and maybe I am being mean by not doing so, but if you think you are Brown material you should be able to find the information easily on your own.

Thanks for that belief fenwaypark! I did check out their 75-25 score range, and my score is above average (55.34 percentile, to be exact). But I’m often told that for unhooked applicants, the score should be in the 70th percentile. Plus, it really doesn’t help that I’m Asian (Indian). I want to know my chances from the community.

As fenway says, no one here can give you your chances with any authority. The point of my post above was not to “give you your chances” (I very rarely do that) but to affirm that your scores are quite good. It is hard for me to believe that any admissions officer would look a 1540 and based on that alone throw an application into the deny pile.
