man i keep scoring mid-600’s on all my sections :[

itsinreach, great scores. What did you after each practice test? Did you review the wrong answers before moving on to the next? Did you study using the sudy guide at all?

Thanks. How long have you been working at it Trufflie?

It was very systematic. During each test I would circle the ones I was unsure of, even if I knew the right answer or thought I did. Then, afterwards, I would review not only my wrong answers but the ones I circled. All of them were from the blue collegeboard book so I could look up answer explanations on their website (I can’t remember the URL right now, I assume you have the book).

1550/2340 (May 2010)

790 CR

Took about 2 Kaplan tests (inaccurate difficulty), 2 PR tests (a little better), and 1 actual SAT.

The Kaplan and PR ones I did in October, the actual one like the week before the test.

None. I took some practice sections the week before the test, and that was it. I took the test in May, before I knew about College Confidential. I certainly didn’t realize people took studying for the SAT so seriously.

1590/1600
2320/2400

1580/2330

Basically I just did about 20 practice tests during winter break (2 weeks) (1 a day plus a few days where I did 2)
Then I basically did two or three a week till the test.

Practice makes perfect.
No other way around it.

I know a lot of 2400 scorers.

Silverturtle- you know his guide- also extremely bright
mifune- genius, graduated HS early
Masochist.- knows how to cope with the SAT- took around 50-60 practice tests
christiansoldier- he took around 20-30 practice tests (he aced 5*800 SATIIs along with 22 APs by senior year)
Databox- bright; christiansoldier level
Anonymous93& Stupefy- I think around 2390.

There is no other way around it.
SAT= Practice. Listen to Gary Gruber.
