2320 SAT, 3.95 unweighted GPA. Chance me for selective schools?

Gender: Male
Race: White
State: Nevada
Rising Senior
Major: Electronics Engineering or Physics

Schools I'm thinking of applying to:
CalTech
USC
Harvey Mudd
Cal Poly
UC Berkeley
Stanford
MIT
Harvard
Columbia

Academics:
SAT: 2320 (Reading 800, Math 750, Writing 770)
SAT II: Math 2 750, Physics 720 (should I retake either of these?)
PSAT: 228 (in my state that's well over the score for National Merit Semifinals)
ACT: 35, 8 writing. (English 35, Math 34, Reading 35, Science 35)
APs: 5s on Euro, APUSH, and English Lang. Next year I'm planning to take Physics C (Mech), Calc BC, English Lit, and Gov. Maybe Comp Sci if my school ends up offering it.
GPA: 3.95 (ish?) Unweighted. Not sure of weighted, it was a 4.25 at the end of fall semester. Haven't gotten a new transcript yet.
Senior Courseload: AP Physics C, AP Calc BC, AP English Lit, AP Gov, Percussion, Jazz Band, Marching Band (8th period, my school usually has 7)

Extracurriculars:
4 years of marching band (2 years in a leadership position)
4 years of winter drumline (2 years in a leadership position)
4 years of jazz band, and concert band
4 years of jazz combo (audition-only group of 5 people)
Next year I'm planning on doing Science Bowl and Academic Olympics
I manage my own band. We write original music and get paid to play gigs.

Is Cal Poly a good safety school? Or should I find a different one?

Bump. I’ll chance back.

In terms of statistics, you’re a very good match for those schools. In terms of ec’s, I’d say you are a weak candidate. Good essay and you’ll make berkeley though

Cal Poly SLO is nobody’s safety. They use an algorithm point system for admission, unlike the other CSU’s. Cal Poly Pomona would be a safety.

CalTech - Reach
USC - Low Reach
Harvey Mudd - Low Reach
Cal Poly - Match
UC Berkeley - Low Reach/High Match
Stanford - High Reach
MIT - High Reach
Harvard - High Reach
Columbia - High Reach

Stats are amazing and you have strong EC’s, but many of the schools on your list are a crapshoot for everybody.

All reaches, even with the impressive application you have here. So make sure to get some safeties or matches in that list.
