<p>What are my chances at getting into MIT as per the following</p>

<li>African student(not exactly a hook, the high school im in is very very competitive)</li>
<li>2350 SAT</li>
<li>3.98 Unweighted GPA(i didnt do so well in 9th grade, but the AP and honors classes may make up for this on my transcript)</li>
<li>Sadly few EC's, but many many trophies and awards in engineering competitions and science fairs</li>
</ul>

<p>for you to get into such schools you have to extra special.this is because everyone who applies to MIT or similar top schools has at least your stats and the school accepts only about 15 percent.So you see why people,even the great minds get rejected.I have a 2370 in my latest SAT,3.948 in gpa outstanding ECs,awards,activities,medals/trothies and postions ,also african and have applied to my dream school MIT however i am not so certain of getting in</p>
<p>what’s your unweighted out of? 4.0?
If you are Black/African American (From the US), then you stand a great shot. For both of you a 2350+ is almost the best situation you can be in. Expect to be accepted by one of HYPSM</p>
