              <p>The UCs have a special merit scholarship for very high scoring students called Regents. It’s in addion to financial aid. Don’t discount them just because of their sticker price. There’s also outside scholarships, and plenty of merit aid from private schools. If you’re truly poor, you should find out your EFC for various schools.
