Hey, I'm a junior in high school, and I have taken the SAT twice. (June 2010 and November 2010)
Here are my scores:
June 2010:
CR: 710
M: 710
W: 800
Overall:2220
November 2010:
CR:770
M:780
W:710
Overall: 2260
I'm really disappointed in my Nov. Writing score, but I don't know if I should take the test again in spring. Please help!

No, you are completely fine. Don’t worry about it. Go out and have a picnic or go bowling or something fun instead. Congrats on your scores!

Why would you want to retake it?

You already improved your score 130 points. all you’re going to do is prove to colleges that you’re totally neurotic

If you think you can get a higher score, then retake it. Simple as that.
Not true at all, it’s a myth.

It is impossible to get into college with a 2350. My condolences on such a mediocre score.

Yes. Unless you get a 2400, you will never get into even a community college. And that’s one sitting, not superscore. Who does superscore 0___0

Thanks for the replies! They helped me out a great deal. I think I’m just going to focus on other tests. The ACT’s coming up, after all. That second writing score just made me very upset and slightly irrational. Haha

@ soccernerd12, it’s COMPLETELY up to you. your scores are fantastic. HOWEVER, i’m just gonna say what i’d do if i were you. since you’re a junior, you have plenty of time to raise your scores. i would aim for a 2300+ in one sitting. i would also aim for a 35 or 36 on the ACT. by NO means am i saying that’s what you should do. it’s up to you.
