240 Psat

I got a 240 this year. The Blue Book helps a lot, plus I think I must have guessed right on one or two writing questions.

A kid in my school got a 240, but then again he does nothing but school, marching band, and video games. The smartest girl in my school got a 232 and I’m sure she’ll get into a better school than the former. Standardized test scores are taking a decreasing importance in American admissions in the 21st century, though British/Canadian/Indian admission commissioners (applying to British/Canadian/Indian schools is a pretty good option nowadays) weigh standardized test scores extremely highly.

^
Does that include Cambridge/Oxford?

i got a 239 but a 2260 on the real SATs… go figure

lol i wish i woulda studied for the PSATs a little
i got a 201 junior year, with a little studying i got my SAT up to a 2350

One kid at my school in CA got a 240, that’s about it. There are lots of 220s and 230s here though.

4 240s in my grade at my school last year, 3 this year I think. No idea if it’s a more common occurrence than a 2400. Personally, I did worse on my PSAT; thankfully, it has almost no significance whatsoever.

sat: 2400 psat: 240 :X

I got 240 on this year’s Saturday PSAT and 2400 on the Nov 2010 SAT. 1 CR wrong on PSAT, 2 CR, 2 W wrong on the SAT along with 10 essay.

The essay is easily the hardest part for me, so that makes the PSAT easier in my mind. However, there’s a much smaller margin for error b/c there are fewer questions (the 1 CR was the only question I could’ve gotten wrong), so I’m not totally sure. I’ve only taken one real PSAT and two real SAT’s, so I guess I’m not really qualified to assess their comparative difficulty levels in general.

a 2W with 10 esay for 800 is very very very rare.
