Lets all post an integral tip(s) on how to earn a perfect score on the SAT.

Heres mine:

Memorize 1000+ words if you want to perfect the sentence completion portions.

Read for 5-6 hours a day.

Bribe College Board, have them change your SAT score to 2400. It worked for me.

No, that's not how you get a 2400. You get a 2400 by being naturally inclined toward the test and by having experience with the types of questions. Memorizing thousands of words is useless. I didn't memorize a single word from a word-list and only missed one SC. Silly mistake, too.

^naah..i'd rather blackmail...

oh to continue the list: be smart :D

Ashraf Eassa: i basically summed up what u just said...didn't I?

well...did you all get 2400s? NealJ2K, I wish that worked for me lol.

I got a 2340. lol

If you lack the aforementioned "natural inclination," then spending every waking moment studying will certainly improve your score. However, the implied characterization of someone who obtains a perfect score as having excessively prepared for the exam is false.

Trade your eye for a 2400 with Mimir at M

my friend got a 2400 and he did about 40 practice tests...

that helps

Ya...studying should primarily consist of practice tests. I took the 15 or so official ones there are available. So AOM, please don't think all 2400s had to read 5-6 hours a day or something ridiculous like that lol.

dont make stupid mistakes on math

gah

zomg you people think he was serious?! obviously, memorizing 1000+ words and reading 5-6 hours a day is physically impossible while maintaining grades and ECs. haha you people don't recognize satire when you see it....

well I thought he/she meant summer?

even in the summer!! ever heard of having a life?
NealJ2K had the right response to a funny thread lol

I'm pretty sure AOM was serious though...

In SC you should know lots of vocabs or you will have no idea. To know more vocabs I think the best way is reading a lot and then your head will memorize the words naturally. If you think you still have problem with vocab, the only way is learn by heart. This way is much more tiring and not effective. :|

You get 2400 when you don't want it (lack of desire achieves the achievement--??)

I got a 2400 by studying gradually, over time, and staying very calm the day of the test. I probably took a total of eighteen or so practice tests. It also helps to be lucky, very lucky.

I'm gonna have to go with natural inclination on this one. I didn't study much and did very well while a lot of my friends spent summers preparing and were really disappointed in their results.
